Default engine stumble

hey everyone,
i was driving spiritedly on my way home from the gym, and a couple times in a row, my car stumbled on itsself, its kind of hard to explain, but it seems like the engine is hiccuping, or just stumbling on itself in the higher RPMs, like after shifting into 2nd or 3rd gear. it also feels like the car's tires are slipping or something...don't think my car has that much power to make the tires slip like that in the rain. i dunno, the symptoms are hard to explain. and the funny thing is that i took the car on a straight away and ran it and it didnt stumble. so the engine stumble comes and goes?

my only mods are a TXS intake and a tanabe SRM.

can anyone enlighten me on what causes this? is it the intake? and is my car ok?

thanks!

Check your sparkplugs and wires. And make sure your plugwires are actually on. Seems stupid but is my stock response.

Ok, once again a real stupid thing, but...... Pull your plug wires off of the plugs. Look at the metal part inside the plug head. Make sure it is not set WAY back (especially compared to the other plug wires). Take an extra spark plug, or pull a plug, and FEEL the sensation of the plug wire "clipping" onto the spark plug. Now make sure this is reproduced when you still all 4 plug wires back onto the spark plugs.

I know this sounds stupid, but if thats the problem, well, problem solved. I have had this problem more than once, so thats why I always bring it up.
