Default tire choice

I purchased a set of Michelin Pilot XGT tires that lasted about 15K miles and now I need a new set. I am looking at the Bridgstone Pontenza RE950s or the Yokohama Avid V4S. Any take on which set to purchase? Thanks

Neither. Take a look at the Pirelli PZero Nero. I have them and LOVE them. Great wet/dry grip, good wear. They are asymetrical so they don't follow grooves in the pavement and seem quieter than my old Kumho 712's. Lot's of other guys here run them too.

I think the yoko could be a winner. I sold 2 sets to some friends recently. Ill try to get some feedback on them.

Why would you go from a Z-rated tire to a V-rated?

The XGT's are H rated. I am still having trouble deciding what tire to go with. I had the car aligned and now it rides worse than before. Plus the steering wheel is off center and I had them check that twice. So needless to say I am going to have to get new tires. Any other suggestions on tires would be appreciated.

for your two choices the difference makes the decision pretty easy

better ride quality = AVID V4S
better steering response = RE950
