Default DO Luck V-MOUNT ARC FMIC and Radiator Combo Group Buy Need 6!!!!

Hi there...

Do Lucks V mount first shipment is about to leave Japan, and they are loading the container now. We are hear to offer you a group buy on this brand new part with introductory pricing. There is a thread in the members car gallery with more information on this piece, and Do Luck USA and our company will be monitoring this thread to answer all questions.

The contents of the kit are as follows:

ARC FMIC
ARC FMIC Piping
ARC Green Intercooler Couplers
ARC Presitge Factory Replacement Radiator
ARC Power Steering Cooler
Two Electric Fans
Transformation Block for Air Conditioning Condenser
All Bracketry

This kit is for fitment on GDB 04+ Chassis, fitment is not confirmed for 02 bug eye models. For those who will ask, it should work just fine, however more extensive bumper beam modification and front bumper modification will be required for the 02 model. (Similar to other FMIC brands)

The Price for 6 kits is going to be 3999.00 down from the regular price of 4950.00 USD. You guys knew that this wasn't going to be cheap, and after all its primarily ARC product.

We will update this thread with more pics and more items later. Sorry about the brief post.

WRX8XB,

This group buy will be open for 30 days. They will be delivered towards the end of this month or early September. Yes the Do-Luck V-Mount will fit the 05 STi.

Gr8wall,

It is not limited to only 6 people.

Thanks,

W1

If you use a JDM Beam there is no cutting of the beam. Due to the location of the intercooler core and piping there is also little to no moficiation that needs to be done to the bumper of either model year.

Thanks!

No information about GC fitment, I am sorry. There are no separate prices for this set up.

stiguy, if ya think about it, i think it probably actually would. As there is no piping down there for the intercooler. The intercooler is the in grille, and you have the radiator in the bumper, lines off the rad go straight back, so my guess would be thumbs up for fogs.

what intakes wouldn't cause fitment issues with this kit!? i'm considering purchasing an aps cai in the near future and from comparing pictures of it and the v-mount installed... it looks like the maf would be awefully close to the ic piping...

would trimming the black plastic bumper beam cover still be necessary for better flow over the radiator?

would you consider adding the jdm bumper beam to the group buy for extra money?

thanks i know these are kinda nitpicky questions

No, that is not correct, it fits just fine with the fogs

No sweat, the intakes that you can use on this should be all of your std short rams. I don't have information for you about whether or not cold air intakes would work, and I do understand you concern with the APS due to where the MAF is located on that intake.

As long as it clears the piping this intake should work fine, and even if there was touching here I am sure that something could be fabbed to make the usage of both of these possible. If your looking for something that for sure will cause any issues, look at short rams that keep the MAF where its located on the stock set up and are short rams, ala the turbo xs, perrin and K and N Typhoon without the heat shielding.

I would reccomend trimming anything that blocks the passage of air that isn't absolutely necessary. If you can remove something that covers a cooling device on the vehicle and therefore subject that peice to more air without making the car look completely heinous do it and don't think twice.

I would be happy to also sell you a JDM bumper beam as well, and its reccomended that you use one of these with this set up just like with any other aftermarket FMIC. FWIW, the throttle response with this setup versus a traditional FMIC with more pipe is noticably quicker.

Don't worry, the questions are not nitpicky in the least. If I were considering spending 4gs on an intercooler I would want to know all the nitpicky stuff too.

Hope this helps.

thanks for the info about the intakes. as for those that keep the maf sensor in the stock location, i think the blitz does, which is what i have. i mean it looks like its oriented the same as the hks racing suction foudn in the pictures on the other thread but who knows. also would the gruppe-s bumper beam work??? thanks

Thanks for the input its greatly appreciated ... after comparing some pics of the typhoon installed and the aps installed... it seems as though the maf is in approxiamately the same location only the aps has the sensor tilted at more of downward angle... i guess the only way to tell is to see a couple of more pictures of the doluck car's engine bay to try and locate where the maf is on the hks intake... anything anyone can dig up?!

Nice. How does this kit effect the AC coil? It usually sits in front of the stock radiator.

Is there anyway to get one without the radiator and fans? I already have an aluminum C&R radiator.

Also, why do you need the power steering cooler?

I think its special radiator and fans for this kit. It is not a stock sized rad.

Is it just me or is the V-Mount IC installed on the wrong axis....

If you were looking at it from the side it should be positioned like this: CAR/

It seems you have it positioned like CAR\

The WRC uses the first position. Better air flow, and because it facilitates heat dissipation (heat goes up you know).

i dont see it angled like car\.......looking at it closer, its seems like it is mounted correctly, and plus the radiator is mounted \ so there for i think the intercooler has to be mounted / or else they wouldnt call it a v mount
