I'm not clear - should I expect an 225/45/16 to rub on stock wheels on a stock MY04 wagon?
Anyone run this size and no from personal experience? Thanks! Adrian |

....it all depends on the offset of the wheel and the particular tire....some combinations just don't quite fit..and rub.

Good thread, I was just contemplating several of these tires. I might try the Hankook R-S2 Z212s to go on the Rota Subzero wheels I just got.
As far as the rubbing on a wagon, if you have a 48-52 mm offset you will be ok with 215/45/17 BUT you could have some rubbing with 225/45/17. If you lower the car it's even more likely to rub. I'm going to go with 215s on the Saabaru just to be safe. Good (long) thread here about wagons and wheel sizes: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=317270 |

IF you're considering the 615's and Rs2's.. why not look also at some streetable R compounds....... like the Yokohama 032r's in hard compound..... in 225-50-16 which will fit the 16x6.5's no prob.....
One of my friends ran this tire for his 02 mustang gt on the street/autox.... as he didn't want to change rims/tires at the events..... not the best r compound tire but durable.... or also toyo ra1's..... as another friend does the same with S2000... |
