Default front mont IC or not???

I run a 10psi boos RS-T setup with a 2003 wrx top mont IC and now I want to change it for a front mont. The question is, will I see a HP gain or not. Or will I only see more lag???

Is it a good think to do? If a want to go with 19psi of boost will the top mont do the job or will I have to change for a FMIC???

Probably not needed. I ran mid 12's on a TMIC.

top mount gets heat soaked easily... FMIC is much cooler, and if you get a nice one you wont hurt flow to the radiator that much...

10psi you wont need a huge 1000 hp core... just get like a 25 by 7 by 3 and you should be rocking.

not to mention the look of braces on GC8's are just sweet

Really NOT needed........even at 19psi. But if you live somewhere very hot it probably couldn't hurt. Especially if you spend a lot of time sitting still and idling in traffic.

I went with one out of vanity. I like the way it looks and I got a great deal.

Also...just a bit more lag....nothing bad at all.

What is your budget?
Do you have the tools to weld your own piping or have someone who can?
Do you have the place and the time to do it?
Do you have enough money to pay to have it done?
Ask your self these questions first, If you can do it your self or have somone do it for you then great, if you don't you are at the mercy of a premade kit. Which for a RS-t can be a small pain.
I myself bought a OBX intercooler kit and had to modify two pipes, I was able to keep my fogs and it works great all for 500.00.
Hope all this babble helps.

I did not make my choice yet. I have find a TMIC from Spearco (from leudspeed stage 2 kit) with 7*17*3.5 core (thank to Maxxav) or a FMIC from Spearco 6*26*3 for the same price. The only difference is that I have to make and pay the piping.

What should I get what should I do????
