Just wanted to get some opinions from the guys in the forum:

I was doing some tuning the other day and noticed that after a shift at near or at redline, I would occasionally get an afterfire follwed by a logged knock event. I assume that the sensor was just picking up noise from the afterfire, which was not really knock, but just wanted to make sure. Here is the log.

As you'll notice in the logs, when the knock sensor picked up noise, the TPS was at near 0% and the afterfire just occured. Is this knock or justr noise from the afterfire?

BTW.. the reason the runs began so late was due to me trying to determine whether the afterfire was causing the increased knock noise.

Thanks in advance.

You're hitting the rev limiter and this is why you're hearing the "popping." It's set at 7300 soft and 7600 hard.

9 out of 10 times when the TPS is at 0% on the Hydra it's just noise or the rev limiter. I have yet to hear knock at zero TPS on the Hydra while using a knock headset since I program fairly low ignition timing during those conditions.

Thanks,
Phil
