Lightbulb MY03 DRL (Legacy Wagon)

OK, before everyone throws the miriad of links at me for previous DRL deactivations, I've tried all of them, and none of them work.

Undoing the white connector under the dash : Works like a charm for taking out the DRL, unfortunately it also takes out my Normal Headlights. Brights work just fine though.. oddly enough.

Disconnecting the Parking break switch : Again, works great except that disconnecting it isn't the same as opening the circuit with the parking break.. now they just stay on all the time, break applied or not, also, I could just jimmy the switch so that it's open all the time, but that in turn activates the Parking Break light on the Dash.. real attractive.

Those were the links I could find that pertained to my car, if anyone has actually successfully disabled DRL on a MY03 Legacy Wagon please tell me how to do it.

Thanks.

I remember seeing somewhere that the L + GT have different steps. search for DRL in this forum. you'll find it.

Good luck with that one. A few of us have tried to wire up the fogs independently from the headlights to no avail. Last time I blew at least 7 fuses including all of my power accessories. Plus a week long check engine light. Let us know if it works out though!

I should tackle this project one day...blew an hid D2S last weekend, so I have to wait for new bulbs and wire that back up before I move on to any new project Luckily, it gave me a reason to change bulb types to D2R which are correct for reflector-style HID systems, versus projectors.

I intend on wiring my foglights completely seperate from all of the lighting features. So that when I push the fog button, they come on. No matter what other lights may be active.

If you're talking about the fog light thing, then yes, I tried to use the one from scoobymods but our wiring is a little bit different.

I wish I had all of the wiring diagrams that I have for my legacy for the wrx so I could trace what the 'orange' wire is on the scoobymods instructions.
