Default Erebuni CF hood GB for 00-04 Legacy

Quote:
"For a group buy to work the full payment must be received by us at the same time from all different people or from one source in a lump sum. Payment must also include shipping charges. We usually have about 3 hoods in stock to ship immediately. The rest can be shipped within 2 to 3 months.
0-2 there will no discount
3-7 there will be a 20% discount off of our web prices.
8-20 at 30%
21+ at 40%
Shipping charges per hood to one address would be $105.00. Shipping charges for more than one hood to one address we have to quote you based on the address and how many hoods."

I also asked about if the hoods are damaged and shipping.

"Products received damaged are the responsibility of the shipping company and not Erebuni, accordingly a damage claim has to be filed with the shipping company in case of damage. We pack all merchandise according to industry standard practices and procedures. Our packing procedures are time tested, to be exact 26 years and also approved by the shipping companies that we use, therefore any shipping damage is due to handling and nothing else.
All products, whether from us or anywhere else and whether they are carbon fiber or not, should be checked immediately upon receipt of goods and preferably in front of the driver who is delivering the merchandise. The driver has to wait until you open the box and inspect the merchandise. If he does not, then you can refuse the shipment on the ground that he did not allow you to inspect the merchandise. Your signature on the bill of lading without any notations as to the damage signifies that you have received the merchandise in good condition. Accordingly, it is a lot more difficult to file a damage claim with a shipping company and win when you have signed the bill of lading without noting the damage.
If merchandise is received damaged you can do one of 2 things. You can accept the merchandise with a notation on the bill lading about the condition and extent of the damaged product and have the driver endorse it with his signature. You can also refuse the merchandise as damaged. If the damage is minor and it is something that a repair claim can be filed, then you should accept the merchandise with the notation on the bill of lading and again have the driver endorse it so we can file a claim for repair at a later date."

not bad, 3 to 7 people for a 20% discount is decent so it would be 480+shipping.

Ben
Guys,
I'm going to start this thread to gauge interest in the BE hood. The more people we get, the cheaper it's going to be.

i want one, but two things must be met first. i can't do it until after christmas so i can budget the tax return money for it. secondly, we'd need to get 8 people together cause $480 plus shipping is still a bit high for me. what would the price be at the 8 people discount?

i saw exactly the same hood (CF) from andys auto sport. it is cheaper than erebuni's price (made also by erebuni corp, but the price is cheaper). OEM carbon fiber for $450. racing style hood for $509. u might want to check it out, so you do not have to wait for the group buy. here's the website:http://www.andysautosport.com/produ...20Fiber%20Hoods

props to project lancaster. and for reference 30% off is 420, so this is a pretty sweet deal.

I am in for a group buy, it may not be necessary at that price though, I have to save first anyways so we will see.

Ben, would you mind calling Andy's Auto Sport to see if they would be interested in supporting a group by? Maybe we could get it at even a cheaper price!

I'm interested only if someone can verify the quality of these items. I've heard about questionable fits on many of their items...

I own an '05 Baja which uses the same style hood, allgedly. I would be interested in the group buy. Does it matter if everyone wants a different style; that is, race-style versus stock -style? I want the race...

If the price is right.....I'm in but I have to save first, so it's not really in a rush....do they need hood pins or not? I personally don't like the pins, is that possible? since they r light!

Ben, r u from Toronto?

I bought the Erebuni racing style hood and grill for my BE. when they say it takes a while to get they werent joking, it took between 5-6 months to get. I love the hood but the fit wasnt perfect, there is a gap between the drivers side fender and hood that gradually gets wider towards the front, If I find a pic I will post it, if I can't find one I have to go to the Body shop (Ford Expedition vs. Legacy, yup he won )anyway so I'll take a pic of it then and post it.

matthew_bh:
As far as hood pins go I bought a set because the hood doesnt latch completely. At around 75mph you can see the hood lifting a little, I've had the car well past 100mph and the hood never came open but hoodpins will give a good sence of security.

Well the hood latching piece is on the grille so you dont have to have the hood pins, at least to my knowledge.....

I am also interested depending on how many people are going to jump in on this. I want the OEM style CF hood, not the racing one also.

A 40% discount would be awesome

i am thinking of getting a hood to check fitament, then if it is good you guys can make an assumption from there. Unless, you would like to be the one to buy first.

I'm in for the hood and can pay in advance. I'm a little worried about fitment so if someone could buy and take one for the team, that'd be great, even if we had to all PayPal you (all groupbuyers) the difference since you are only buying one hood to start. Or I could do that if everyone agreed to make up the difference. The difference wouldn't be too bad spread out over lots of people.

I think I'm out on the hood. I'm gonna go buy a stock baja hood this friday. It won't be lightened, but I won't have to worry about it latching to stock spot or any fitment issues or payment (cause I have subaru bucks to pay for it). I wanted a lighter hood SOOOOO bad, but this will at least get me a scoop and I won't have to pay for it (gotta love those subie bucks!)...

Okay, looks like this thread is dead, but wanted to "bump" just in case, but then andysautosport.com already has it for $483.55, not bad at all for something that retails for $750:
