Default What is the longest amount of time you have stayed up? (consecutive hours)

Taking cat naps in between doesn't count either. This has probably been done before, but oh well...

For me, it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 49 1/2 hours if I remember correctly. IIRC, I did the 55-60 range with a short 1-1.5 hour nap in the middle (but again that doesn't count here).

...poll coming.

the human body is capable of doing some pretty effed up things when you deprive it of sleep for long enough..

50 ish hours.. and this was actually one stretch that I did durring a whole week of working two jobs..

One 9-5 and one overnight security gig.

pulled a whole week getting just little slivers of sleep here and there. Given, I wasn't much for conversation that week.. or intelligent thought.. bowel control even.

Amusing. My 3 days was the same, minus the sobriety, and world cup = British Super League hockey playoffs in Nottingham.

It's amazing what you can do on a diet of ONLY redbull, vodka, and kabobs (with really hot pepers).

I spent a week staying up for about 7 or 8 hours at a time and than sleeping for one hour. It was finishing a Formula SAE car at school. I had a beer after all that and it pretty much sent me into another world.

I suffer from insomnia, have been my entire life.
For this and other reasons I avoid caffeinated products coffee, soda, etc.

Routinely I stay up for long hours and doing so is no longer difficult for me.
Three winters ago I stayed awake for nearly 75 hours uninterrupted.
Mrs. Janq wanted me to take some sleeping pills but I refused knowing my body would eventually reset on its own.

I then slept my normal 7 hours and woke up fine like nothing had happened.
During the time I was up I felt fine up to the last 12 hrs. when I started to feel irritable but otherwise just wasn't sleepy.
Normally I'll sleep 3-6 hrs. per 24 without any negative affects aside from being grouchy upon waking.

Insomnia sucks.

right around 42 hours. i was getting in bed at 4:00am when the security office at my college called and told me that my car had been broken into. i went and saw the car...torn up convertible top, broken windows, trashed interior, and myriad other things. it was going to be raining that next day, so i drove it back to my dorm and started packing some stuff to keep my warm during the 2 hour ride to my parents house (keep in mind i had to drive with the top down in upstate ny weather in early march). i came back to school and was angry all day. i drank myself into a stupor about 40 hours in.

42.5 hours for me.

Friend and I tried to finish Diablo 2 in one day when it came out... Didn't quite work. But damn it, we finished it in one sitting.
