Someone is going to ask this, so it might as well be my n00b self. Won't the OEM 16" rims fit with a 3-5 mm spacer?

If the OEM 16" WRX fits with 3-5 mm spacer, then will the WRX OEM spare wheel fit too with 3-5 mm spacer?

Honestly, I've got no idea on spacers,
and i do not recommend the use of spacers
we do not sell spacers
and thus, will not comment on spacers.

Best to do some research in the brakes/suspension forum

these will NOT FIT UNDER OEM 16" WRX WHEELS
and thus, will not fit under OEM WRX SPARE WHEEL EITHER

Just to clarify....this is only for the front rotors. The rear 2-pot rotors are not the same as the current WRX rear rotors.

The 2-pot rotors are however identical to the 05+ LGT rear rotors.

No, the H6 rotors are solid rotors. The 2-pots use a vented rear rotor. The diameter is the same as the H6 though.

Just an FYI regarding the rear 2-pots.

They are far from bolt on.

The rear hub must be removed from the car, the parking brake completely disassembled (putting it back together is the real pain), the backing plate must then be pressed off the hub (the link below goes into more detail) the new 2-pot backing plate must be pressed on the existing hub, the hub must be reinstalled on the car, parking brake cable and assembly reinstalled, rotor & calipers installed, etc. Finally the car "should" be re-aligned.

As you can see, this involves a lot more work, then IMO is worth any gains compared to let's say the LGT rear brake swap. If I were going to do it, I'd probably wait until the 06 WRX's start showing up in JY's and just get the entire rear hub assembly with backing plates, etc.

Also, you can find a lot of info regarding the 4 & 2 pots in this thread.

Yes, it is a PITA trust me. It wasn't as bad for me since I needed new rear wheel bearings anyway so the hub needed to be pressed.

FYI, I have this full setup on my RS (red 4pot fr, 2pot rr) and it makes a HUGE difference in brake feel and effectiveness. Also, Jamie has an awesome price on these... for reference my whole setup w/ slotted cryoed fr rotors and Ferrodo pads cost me almost $2k!!!

i knew the 2 pots were going to be a bit pricey

Jamie, is the price for the rear 2 pot include everything needed to install onto Impreza WRX? Someone in I-club forum said the WRX oem spare tire will clear the rear with this 2 pot brake kit, can you comfirm this if you have the info. Thanks

Jamie,

I wonder if the rear 2pots have the same mounting holes as the brembo 2 pot rears. Reason why is that I'm putting a R180 rear end in my RS.

Have you come accross such a fact that it may/may not be the same mounting holes?

I've got no idea.
best way to learn is search, research in the brakes forum with someone who has possibly the brembos....

Prices are the same as the black 4 pots - no changes.

we're discounting these Red 4pots until the end of the month only.

Price will go up.

Hi Jaime,

I just sent you a PM regarding my intent on purchasing the red 2-pot rears.

If I've bought the 4-pot fronts from you, then I might as well finish off the set with the 2-pot rears as well.

Thanks.

I have my doubts as well, (assuming you stole the R180 rear hubs from a US Sti) but like Jamie said, search the brakes & suspension forum.

These Subaru 2 pot do not fit the STi hub R180. It's the same thing if you wanted to installed the STi brembo on to R160 hub, they are not interchangable parts.
