Actually a good friend of mine is looking at Subarus for his next car and forwarded me that deal for some feedback. I thought the mileage was a bit high too. Gold is not my favorite color, but it's not for me. What about the price? Too high for the mileage? It is the limited.

Also, what year did head gasket issues cease (pun intended)? Any other known issues with the 02's?

Peace,
Oquipah

All EJ25's suffered from the head gasket issue...all 00-04's have extended coverage to 100k though.

The price is a bit high, but the prices are very regional. Subaru's down in the desert go for less than Subaru's go for where it snows and rains a lot.

If he is interested in my "as is" with all modifications minus the rotas(but still 2 sets of rims to boot) it may be available(if hes willing to fly out) for a similar price.

My 2000 LTD is a bit below 58k. Bought it used with 31k for around $14,000. Gonna be paying for it for another three years (unless my hopefully new job pays me well).

Although if they pay me well, I'll probably just add a motorcycle to my vehicle list instead of paying off the car sooner.

I have a '02 and had to go to the dealer and get the "additive" to get 100K coverage. You should probably check to assure it has 100K coverage. I was told no record of additive no coverage.....

I have 47 on my '02, 85 is high.

Peace,

Greg

Thanks guys, I showed him this thread and based on this and the fact that the car had high mileage, he opted out and is now looking at other pre-owned Legacies near Annapolis, MD.

I'll be sure to have him verify the additive was used.

Peace,
Oquipah
