why when i hit my left blinker my headlights flash off and on??

It seems to be somthing with the switch in the colum, intermintently it will cause my headlights to flash off and on when i hit my blinkers and or if i jiggle the blinker thingy itself, the car is a 03 wrx , any ideas??

I am having the exact same problem, when it happens I hear a clicking sound. And my battery just died on me. Can it be related? I am bringing in to the dealer to check it out.

my battery died too i just replaced it and soon after that i noticed the headlights flashing when i hit the blinker sometimes and i also here a loud relay clicking on the right side of the dash, please let me know what you find out because my car has 40000 miles on it so i think my warranty is up.

Lots of times a bad ground *SOMEwhere* can cause all kinds of spooky electrical problems. Look for loose grounds up at the headlight assemblies. Since the turnsignals light up in back too, it might even be a bad ground back there...

My guess is that you have a bad stalk switch. Something in the turn signal stalk is shorting. I am having a problem with my headlights intermittentantly tripping when I hit my turn signals. If I giggle the headlight switch I can get them to flash sometimes.

It's like $60

P/N 83118fc030 I think

I am having sort of the same problem. When I turn on the right blinker all the lights in the back flash including the blinker. When I hit the brake all the lights in the back light up including the blinker light in back and front. My car is a 1995 Subaru Legacy. Has anyone had this problem happen before? I am having a hard time finding someone to fix it. The subaru dealership wants to charge $60.00 an hour
