Ok I have 15 inch blizzzacks for winter so I am covered there. I am ooking for a summerish tire that is great in wet and dry, and if possible, will hold its own in gravel. I have had some kuhmo and wont again. My last two sets were BFG's first the traction tA and the KDWS. Loiked the kdws but would like something more aggressive on tarmac (same tires I use for autox for now) and I play in gravel almost everyday. I have upgraded suspension and brakes and now with my 2.2t sway into my 95 impreza I want a lottle more traction and better predictability.
Order of importance: 1. Superb dry trac 2. great wet trac 3. Tires have to last more than a month (traction tas last 7500 miles )4. Gravel Thanks

I have 205/55-R16 Toyo Proxes4's on my TS for summer. They are 300 AA A, so good grip on pavement wet and dry. I drive on gravel regularly without any trouble although the tread pattern looks very pavement oriented. The other tire people always recommend is the Pirelli Pzero Nero M+S, which is a very similar tire preformance wise.

I dont know cuz i haven't driven on them cuz one tire has a hole in the sidewall (
)... but i bought 16" RS wheels and got Sumitomo HTR ZII's with them. The guy i bought them from said they are 'sticky' in dry, and awesome in wet. That's all i know about them, except for how aggressive the tread looks ![]() |

...as in that tire does not exist....and if you want it all, ya gonna have to compromise.....and the WR....which is an AS tire....NOT a snow tire.....may be the best all around tire if gravel performance is factored in. |

Do you think? You may be right. I just did a quick search on Tirerack and I couldn't find any real gravel-oriented looking tires in Impreza size. The closest thing was the Yoko Geolanders that come OEM on the Forester, but they're an inch too big in diameter.
This is a question we should put to Nick. What's the best tire for multiple surface driving? |

The BFG Kdws did really well actually. And I was thinking, of the perelli p nero. I think that was the one comparable to the kdws. Thereis also the fact that I may be used gravel tires from a local rally team. Used to them is a little different from used for me.
