Default Carolina Motorsports Solo I & Solo II

If anyone is attending this event and needs a place to stay located about 40~45 minutes away - let me know. I've got one extra bedroom and a couch.

Hope to see some folks out there.

Not only do you give great driving advice, but crash space too! Awesome.
I'm about 45 minutes away so I'll be commuting.
Looking forward to seeing you again.

It's not looking real good, from the fight I put up on the Street Touring Email list. There were even a couple of Subaru guys against them!

I'm looking forward to another autocross, but after the last one that took place at the SC State Fairgrounds... maybe I should quit while I'm ahead. You just don't get much better.

Perfect four wheel drift followed by a half doughnut around the pivot cone. The cheers were awesome! Fastest street tire time of the day, fastest PAX time of the day overall. Scoobie was on her game that day.

I should retire on a high point.

Question

Hey guys I will be there Saturday. I will run NSM. That is if I can get up with Martin Bartlett! I got the conformation letter today but he wrote on the top that i need to call him to prove I have competed in a previos CCR event. I E-mailed him and left a message on his machine but I havent heard from him yet. I competed at the Feildcrest autocross. Wonder how he missed the heavy chevy? I would hate to drive down and then not be able to run.

I wonder if I could still get in for sunday, but I wished I signed up for this. But oh well I said wasn't going to autocross anymore till I get the car fixed. But what would a Stripped out interior RS, Exhaust, Intake, Sway Bar, Endlinks, Anti Lift Kit, Racing Springs, Polished out Throttle Body and Intake Manifold, Rerouted Fuel lines, Street Brake Pads, and custom Headers run in? I was thinking a Street Prepared class but which one? I havn't got the last four things done yet but I will before the 24 Hour De Mall event.

Jason, you would probably run in prepared class, don't know which one though. Jay, you should be fine. Martin is slow about replying to emails.

Jason, it looks like you're in SM. The ALK issue isn't resolved yet, but it looks like it's an SM modification. Even if it isn't, you've put yourself in SM by stripping the interrior. You are only allowed to reduce the weight down to 2400 lbs. Remember you still need it to be street legal - read no 7.7 lb bumper replacements.

Jay, no problem with Martin. I'll back you up. Besides, he has the records so he can look you up. It's just that there are so many people for him to track that he can't remember all of us.

Tim, Holy Smoke! How about some more lessons?

Tech will be open on Friday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. If you are close enough (like me) take advantage of this early tech session.

Martin mentioned it, but he didn't say if the tech was for both Solo I and Solo II cars, or only for Solo I.

The Tech is for both. The lines will be divided into 3: Solo 1, Solo 2, Solo 1 and 2 if you're running in both.
I'm not quite close enough to run down Friday night. I'll take Martin's advice and show up early, early, early.
PS
Folger's did a good job repairing my transition mount and alarm system!
Motohead1, I'm leaving Charlotte at 5:00. That should be enough time to get there early.
