Default Volk GT-V

Im in love with these wheels and im about a click away from ordering these...Any opinions to sway me otherwise? I do live in SE PA where the roads are not too great but volks are a super strong wheel so i figure i should be okay going with an 18 inch wheel..

i'm not really a fan of star design wheels, but those new GT-V's are pretty dang nice looking!

However, I would be careful about running expensive wheels (w/low profile tires), especially 18's in areas w/bad roads. VOLKS are pretty strong, but I don't think their GT-series wheels are full forged wheels, like their 1pc TE-37's. I've seen more than a few people w/the GT wheels bend them. Like anything though, it's all about how well you treat them.

Forged outer, cast center.

Only Volk's monoblock (one-piece) wheels are fully forged.

Does having them only semi forged compromise their strength significantly?

Default I just ordered a set of the GT-V's.

I placed an order yesterday for a set of 18x8" Volk GT-V's in silver with a 46mm offset. They have to be made so it looks like at least a 30-60 day wait but it'll be well worth it. I almost spent twice the money on a set of HRE C-20's. I would have been happy either way except now I'll spend the extra $2000.00 on a turbo upgrade. I'm not sure what brand of performance tire I'll use yet but it'll probably be between the Yokohama Advan Neova's or the Falken Azenis RT-615's both in a 235/40/18" size.
