Question Zaino Brothers Car Wax

Has anyone tried Zaino Brothers products on their Subaru?
Its a small company in NJ that makes synthetic polish that I hear is unbelievable.

I tried it, it works . Takes about 5 hours labor to do one car, including claybar (plus some wait for the wax to dry in the middle). Subsequent coats of wax take around 1 hour, although you can get faster with practice.

The car looks better than it did new when the dealer detailed it! Incredibly shiny and very smooth and slick feeling to the touch. The S2000 and NSX guys swear by it, among others I'm sure. Any good wax will protect your car and look pretty good, but this stuff has the added advantage that it lasts longer than other high end wax/polish (except ToughGuard). It's also relatively cheaper after the initial investment, one $13 bottle will do 4-8 coats, and you only need to apply it every 1-2 months once you have a few layers built up.

Zaino is the best. Like Brownkiler wrote, your car will look better than new. It does take a lot of work to apply it, but the results are well worth it.

I've been using it for a couple of years now. By far the best I've used, and I detailed cars for 3-1/2 years so I've used A LOT of different products.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Chris02WRX: Have you tried in the past, waxes from the Zymol line? If so, which ones? I am in the midst of using Zaino on specific test parts of my car first before I jump headfirst into it.

I've never tried it so I'm not knocking it but...if you have to apply it every 1-2 months, how can anyone say it lasts longer than other products? I wax my car 3-4 times a year and the protection, water beading and shine are just fine.

My wife swears by it for the Audi, and she's far more into detailing than I am. It looks amazing, and feels like the car has no friction at all.

I have to wonder about the protection part though. There's something tangible and comforting about several good coats of wax between your paint and the elements.

harrydog: On the website people have left Zaino for 4 months or more and still had it bead up and stay shiny. 1-2 months is only if you are really obsessed with your car . Most waxes will stay on the car and protect for a fairly long time (depending on the conditions), they just lose some of their original shine over time. Zaino is supposed to stay shiny longer, but I haven't used it long enough to know. All I know is it looks great!

I've used Zymol but I don't remember which line. It was quite a few years ago. I wasn't all that impressed with it. Maybe they have improved throughout the years but I like my Zaino too much to switch.

Zaino does not need to be applied that often too maintain protection. I did the initial Zaino steps (Z-1, Z-2) about 3-4 months ago and didn't get another coat on until a week ago and it beaded water just like the day I 1st applied it.

The cool thing about Zaino is the more you apply the better it looks. It's hard to describe in words. The paint just gets deeper and shinier with every coat.

Also, to comment on the 5 hours of labor for the initials steps. It really depends on the weather conditions when you apply it (for drying times) and how slow you are.

I didn't clay bar my car. I did a dawn wash, applied Z-1, applied Z-2 over Z-1, let dry, removed and Z-6 spray all in about 2 hours. The day I did it was very warm and not too humid so the Z-1/Z-2 combo dried quickly.

You only use Z-1, 1 or 2 times a year. After the initial steps I can completely Z-2 (or Z-5) my car in about 15-20 minutes.

Zaino is by far the easiest, best polish I have used.

Hi,

I've used Zymol Carbon lots before.

I just got some Zaino in the mail, I'll apply it on Sat or Sun and let you know how it goes...

You all say how it makes your car look amazing but how does it stack up to wax in protection? anyone used it for long periods that would like to tell us how it has protected your paint?

I've posted pics of my Zaino'd car in this thread:
http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthr...hreadid=112497

From reading a lot of positive Zaino reviews at http://www.autopia-forums.com/, it's clear that Zaino's polymer based protection lasts for much longer than typical Carnauba based waxes.
