Default Thumping Noise

They've been resurfacing the roads around my apartment lately and driving around here is like playing a video game trying to avoid all of the raised manhole covers. On my way home about a week ago I didn't see one... I'm not sure exactly how it hit, and I'm not sure if it was a manhole cover, or just a pothole. Anyway, I hit it at about 30-35mph, and it was pretty loud. I didn't notice any damage immediately, but I'm pretty sure this is when the noise developed. The noise is best described as a "thumping" sound that varies with speed and is kind of difficult to localize, but appears to be coming from the front passenger side wheel area. There's no vibration in the steering wheel or brake pedal that I can feel. I can start to hear it at very low speed ~10 mph and it's still there at highway speeds. It's not super loud, but loud enough that you would notice it without having to really listen hard.

My car already had an appointment for an alignment a few days later (recently put in new springs so I needed one) so I brought it to the tire place, and told them to take a look for anything obviously wrong while it was on the lift. They said they heard the noise but couldn't find the problem, and did the alignment. I'm assuming if they were able to perform an alignment within spec, nothing in the suspension could be bent too out of shape right?

It doesn't sound like a wheel bearing to me because the sound doesn't change when I turn, and I've seen wheel bearing noises described differently than what I'm hearing.

I've looked for rim damage and bubbles in the tire, but couldn't see anything. All of the wheel weights appear to still be there, but I can't be sure. I think I would feel a bad vibration if the wheel wasn't balanced though. I'm going to try swapping to my winter wheels just to make sure it's not a wheel/tire problem. Is there anything else that I should look at before I break down and bring it to a dealership?

In case anyone cares... I figured out what it was, no thanks to you guys I swapped the wheels tonight, and found a slight bend on the inside lip of one of them. I think it's repairable, just kind of a bummer
