I've been eyeballing getting a WRX sometime within the next 3 to 6 months. I was just wondering what is a realistic price I should be shooting for when I go talk to the dealer. I'm looking for a straight stock (no options) WRX (and yes i don't want a spoiler, unless someone can tell me a direct performance benefit to having one.) Thanks in advance.

Depends ... are you willing to order and wait or do you want a car that is on the lot NOW?

I'm willing to wait. In fact from what I've seen on the lot getting a car without a spoiler would mean ordering it.

I'm still trying to bring the price down from 25,530 (automatic, and nothing else) to.. anything lower. They just don't give discounts for New WRX, but I'll let you know how much we've paid, once we get the car (hopefully by end of Aug).
p.s. how do you add smilies on text? |

Just click on the appropriate smiley in the smilies box and *POOF* instant smily code!

The spoiler creates downforce and helps hold your car to the road...
... that is, if you are going approx. 150mph or greater... ![]() |

The spoiler is $395 at MSRP and $297 at invoice, not $600.

Your correct. I was thinking about the added cost of the wing and the PEG2 package since thats all Huffines ever seems to have on the lot. But I am still wrong because the two together add about $800 to the cost of the car. Oh wel I think I will stop PFA'ing numbers and look them up before I quick post.

Yeah, I understand about not wanting the PEG2 options. Unfortunately, I was wanting a Rex NOW so I took the best offer on whatever I could get on the lot ... which of course meant a car with the PEG2 accessories. I guess they are useful to a degree, but I would have preferred to save even more $$$ and install them myself or not at all.
If you have the patience to order a car, contact Scott Smith at Fort Worth AutoMart Kia. Also, there's a salesman named James at McRee Subaru in Dickinson, TX whose prices were very aggressive (but only for an ordered car -- not for one on the lot). You'll have to look up James' info, but Scott Smith's number is (817) 560-7994. Tell Scott I said, "Hello." Good luck! Holden |
