Talking 1993 Subaru Impreza burning oil at idle after oil change

Hello out there. I have a 1993 Subaru Impreza L and ever since I had my oil changed the engine smokes when it is idling. I am curioius as to what this is and how I can fix it. If you have an idea what it could be please specify the location of the problem and what I need to do. Thanks for your help!

Chances are, rear main seal or rear access cover. Both would require pulling the motor or tranny to fix. Look for dark brown/black staining on your exhaust Y pipe need the crook of the Y- if you find it, that's the leaking oil from the rear of the motor.

It could also be that oil was spilled when filling, or someone didn't tighten the oil filter or didn't use a crush washer on the drain plug.

Did the engine smoke at all before the oil change?

even from main seal leaks are common. Just like Ursalia said, only it would be in from od motor.

Or give it a few more days, maybe some is on the exhaust or on top of the motor from a little spilling. It will burn off and go away (if that's the case!)
