Default Good Set of Gold Wheels for 01 RS

What the heck is a good set of gold wheels for an 01 RS?

I want some decent 16-17" golden wheels for my baby.

I'd try and buy some stock 98' RS wheels but new they are 200-250 each, and I haven't seen any used around.

Somone is selling some 17" Rota's for a good price, and I just checked out SubyDude.com, are Rotas a good choice?

Thanks

Rotas are not a bad choice. If you like them go for it. It all depends on what you want and your budget though.

best wheel would be a set of the sti bbs ones. very strong and very light. wrong bolt pattern tho . rotas are okay. not the best quality ever but they arent too bad. they make knockoff rims of companies like prodive and SSR etc. you can check out www.tirerack.com for a somewhat good selection of rims. not outstanding. if you want a cheap decent set of rims rota is the way to go.

ps- i upgraded to 01 RS rims

errr, wrong...2004 sti bbs wheels are the correct bolt pattern but ONLY 2004!!
they are strong, looks good, quality, and affordable. you're looking at $800 used without tires which is a steal compared to brand new rotas at $600. good luck.

Cool Oz

not to knock Rota's, Rota's are usually base on other companies wheels (I know, common knowledge ) They weight more too. I like OZ personally, the superleggra's a fairly light and look good on Subi's. If you got some $$$ I would rock some SSR comps or a nice set of Volks.

Actually, it's the 2005 STi BBS wheels that have the 5x114.? bolt pattern. The 2004 STi BBS wheels have the same 5x100 bolt pattern and will fit on your RS. I've seen it.

[i too upgraded my 2003 WRX wheels with a fine set of 2001 RS wheels]

Some people think that the 00-01 RS wheels look better on a bug eye and vise versa.

they are an upgrade because they are 16x7 instead of 16x6.5 & have clearance for 4 pots.
