Default impreza hood scoop intake?

ok I have a 98 2.2l impreza OBS, and I want to make the cheesy intake actually work. does anyone know of a kit or has fabbed something up to get the scoop to work?>?? thanks

This doesn't belong in the Forced Induction forum.

There have been some people in the Legacy forum who custom made intake mods that enabled them to use the scoop... I wouldn't reccomend them, as you have to carry the scoop backing incase it starts raining (which is actually a big problem). You don't want to hydrolock your engine do you?

AFIK, there are no kits available to do this.

it was made by a company called "Gravel Sport" and they ceased existance a couple years ago. There was no proof that it really did much... in fact there are many theory's that it didnt help at all, due to excessive turbuance too close to the throttle body.

Anyhoo, lots of people have custom fab'd them. I personally do not believe they are of much use.
