Man, that kinda sucks. $399 US is gonna be like close to $500 CDN, plus I need to buy a game, I'm looking at over $600.

Well, get the cheaper one then. You can always upgrade later. Most people will buy two controllers, so if you're going to do that you can get the cheap package, buy a wireless controller, and still save $60+. I'm guessing the HDD and remote will only really be useful if you're going to use the 360 as a media server of some sort, and you can always buy them later if you want to.

299 is what the PS2 started at.. Not that expensive really. Besides the PS3 is going to be much more

There'll be a standard composite or RF output for the console, and all games will work on standard TVs.

And since they haven't fully disclosed how the HDD will be used, it's a little early to say they're screwing over anyone. All the systems games will work without it. Emulation, though, who knows? |

MS screwed up not making a HD standard. The caching system in the original Xbox really sped up game load times.
Everyone really should consider the HD version considering emulation game profiles for original games, downloaded content, music storage, and the sheer price of a mem card to save your games. MS really should have made the $299 system with the 20 GB HD and made a larger capicity (40,60) for the $399. |

$399 isn't much for something that entertains you. I bought a DVD player 4 years ago that costs that much. Suck it up.
