Default MadDad(TM) Clarity Gauges Boost, EGT, Oil Pres. $299

We'll be taking delivery of an initial order on our MadDad(TM) Clarity Series 52mm Gauges. We posted more details on these in the Announcement forum and now we are making the GB official. This GB is limitied to the first 20 orders. The last GB we did on gauges went in a week and half. So don't wait too long before ordering as. Expected delivery is the second week of September. You'll only be charged when we ship.

GB is $299 for 3 Gauges. Boost, Oil Press, and EGT. These are very high quality gauges. Extremely clean face design. 270 degree sweep with consistant scaling throughout. Easily readable in full sunlight, super crisp in low-light/night, and total black-out when the car is shut off. The LED backlight is strong and even unlike convensional bulb light gauges in this price range. The $299 also gets you 3 of our new 52mm single mount gauge pods. Probably the nicest units of their kind. Each gauge comes with support items: Nylon tube & T for boost, sending unit for Oil Press, and high-quality K probe and fittings for EGT. We are also the newest ATI gauge pod reseller and there is an option when you order online to add an ATI triple clock pod gauge pod for a special price.

CLICK HERE TO PRE-ORDER AND SAVE

NOTE: Production product we are receiving and shipping to customers will strictly be in PSI(Boost, Oil Press) and in Fahrenheit, no metric units as shown on the EGT
Here are some shots of the gauges. More to come.

Note: The image is slightly overexposed causing slight "fussyness".

Nice looking gauges and great price, but they don't match the STi interior... Boo!

Rich,

Just had a question for u. Is there a reason why there is 3 hash marks in between each PSI in the boost gauge instead of 4? Seems weird to me why one hash would correspond to 1.25 psi.

Just some follow up on questions:

Amber and Green LED - We're looking into this for the future and have plans to do an Amber for sure, but this won't be available until sometime early 2006 unless there is a drastic change in the manufacturing schedule.

In regards to the boost having 1.25 PSI hash marks, this is what we got when requesting these gauges in PSI vs. BAR. The company that is manufacturing them for us currently private labels for serveral companies in Europe and Japan. This is how the scaling worked out for the PSI version. If we wanted to get a 5th hash mark in there we would get it down to a 1 PSI per mark but the has marks would be quite tightly spaced. Might save that for a 60mm at some point.

Something that can't be appreciated in the current photo's is the quality of the overal units. For instance, rather than just have wiring come out of the back of the gauges, they instead use a separate wiring harness for each gauge that then plugs into the back of each gauge. You can wire up the power and groud without even having the gauges in hand. This is acutally quite nice as it's sometimes clumsy having the gauges dangle while you splice your wiring together. Also, each individual wiring harness has a thick molded insulating layer. When we get the gauges in we'll take more photo's. We offer a 14 day money back gaurantee on all MadDad(TM) products. These gauges will not disappoint even if they were $399+ for the set.

ATI Pod is already prepainted to match the interior! I have the new ATI pod and last group buy prosport gauges and it's all great and works perfect. Don't skip out on this great deal, Rich is that man.

Rich i wondered this since your first annoucement, but why do these gauges look nearly identical to the Megan racing ones that have been on the market for the last 6 months for nearly 30-40$ each? (not egt) Similar distributor?

105wrx - They will fit any standard 52mm pod. There is an option with the GB to purchase an ATI pod with them. The ATI clock pod is by far the best. We have the newest rev that is color matched the WRX dash. Optional face bezels can used with the ATi pod to give it a unique look. I'll get some photo's up later tonight. The GB link is in the first post but here it is again:

Remember folks. Your GB also is getting you 3 of our new 52mm single gauge cups that are very slick. Most of you will want the full clock pod or similiar. You can sell off the free gauge cups and this deal becomes even sweeter. We will be selling those cups separately for $24.95ea. in the future.

bren wrx - Those gauges are very different. Font is similar but that is it. That said, I actually know who the OEM manufaturer is(and it's not the one for our Clarity gauges). Those gauges are similiar to the ProSport GB we did a month or so back in that they can be difficult to read when you have lots of ambiant light on the faces. Direct sunlight will wash them out almost completely. That is why we included gauge caps(like the ones I show in the some of the Clarity gauge photos) with our ProSport GB we did and recommended placement in a recessed pod or a in DIN style mount down low under the radio. The Clarity gauges are uncompromised in their full sunlight view. The only reason I have the gauge caps on mine are are to reduce some reflections and because I had few extra after the ProSport GB. You get a money back gaurantee with the Clarity gauges because they are MadDad(TM). That standard MadDad(TM) 14 day money back gaurantee also allows you to install them to be sure you like them. That goes for all MadDad(TM) products.

There are several brands of low cost gauges out there and to be honest some of them are very good, but unless you have an opportunity to see them yourself first hand, it would be wise to make sure there is a return policy. Also, many of the low cost brands don't offer a matching EGT because they are much more expensive.

Rich - I just noticed this sentence on the web page.

"You get a precisely calibrated mechanical Boost gauge, Electronic Oil Press and EGT, along with supporting sending units and K type probe."

Does this mean that all of the gauges are mechanical or only the boost gauge?

Trip McNealy - Still got time. There are 6 pre-orders at the moment and we have 20 sets coming in, about two weeks before the ship(to us).

orwrx - Sorry, just been out straight and haven't had a chance to snap some new rev pod photos. Even so, the sample gauges I have are already installed in the ATI ePod photos above. I'll still look to snap some ATi clock pod shots though next change I get.

willow - Yah, that'll work. Place an order and put in the customer notes. "Boost to SC WRX". If he doesn't take it I"ll sure someone else will jump on it. Will knock $55 off the GB for you making it $244.

Sometime late October/November.
