Default Spec C roof vent?

Does anyone know where I can get a Spec-C roof vent? Not a roof scoop mind you, but the roof vent in the spec C since they (prior to the new 06) don't have AC. I am too tall for a sunroof, but would love to have a vent in the roof. Also any info on installing it would be great.

Thanks,
Ben

I got mine from Mauro Motorsports... that and I believe Boxer4racing sells it too. That's where I got the roof scoop from.

Nope not at all, I left it open 1 time during a storm by accident but I guess that doesn't count really

Japanparts.com is where I got mine.

There are quite a few web pages w/ the install.
It is very time consuming by yourself...but w/ 2 people I'm sure you could knock it out pretty quick.Headliner takes the longest *BE Carefull,it will crease if your to rough w/ it* luckly mine creased where the door trim/seatbelt trim hides it so I was Happy!

Mine leaked and was kinda loud @ 1st...but I had the Rubber Seal in upside down..so I flipped it and now its SUPER QUITE and NEVER Leaks...even when going through the car wash w/ the BLOWER @ the end.No water will get in.Worth every penny.

*********DO NOT,I repeat*************
you DO not have to cut the maplight bracket shown in that Thread listed above. The Metal trim subframe uses that for support. So thats one step that is tough (drilling out spot welds) that you don't have to do.I left mine in and it fits 100% perfect.

GOOD luck!

Yeah, I heard the newer ones you did not have to drill the maplight thingee out... on the '02 we could not get it to fit so we had to get rid of it. It stuck up and out to far and pushed the headliner. If you got a newer wrx or sti try fitting the subframe in first before cutting, thanks MrFairlady
