Default What are people paying for new 2.5GT Limiteds?

I know this might seem like a 'newb' topic, but figured it can't hurt to ask. I am certainly not new to Subarus, having had a 99 2.5GT and an '02 WRX up until just 16 months ago. A search didn't really help me much.

I am seriously considering a new Legacy 2.5GT Limited (5 speed), but I am curious what to expect as far as price? Edmunds says to expect around $28,000, or just a few hundred over invoice. Factor in the current $1500 rebate, and I think this car is one of the best available at $26,500!

Is Edmunds accurate? Can a 5-speed 2.5GT LTD be had for just a few hundred over invoice?

Thanks,
Kev

Theres several threads over at legacygt.com where people are listing what they are paying. IIRC, LGT Ltd's are going from ~24-26 after taxes fees, etc.

Any car, should be had for a few hundred dollars over invoice. Really it's a percentage of the invoice price which is considered fair dealer profit. I think 2-4%?

$23.5k from www.carsdirect.com without any option.

I'm also thinking about getting one too...
