Default Brake help

Alright, I'm getting new pads and rotors for my car. I ordered EBC greenstuff pads for front and rear so that's taken care of. I'm looking into rotors and running into some problems. Most of the places that I can actually find them say that they will fit Ls and GTs, except Limited. Someone please enlighten me to the size of my rotors. Are they actually any different from the other models? Thanks again. And its an '01 GT Limited.

Thanks for the link fibuz. Weird though, most of the retailer sites I've been on say "for cars equipped with 10.9" rotors". And do we really have larger REAR discs than front? Just that I've NEVER heard of that on any car.

They are larger on the rear then front, even non-limited. You can always call Dale at www.boxer4racing.com. Also check www.frozenrotors.com. I'm not sure about their prices but I know they have the sizes listed. I bought from them because I wanted cryo'd rotors.

Yep, looks like "10.7" vented front disc with dual caliper piston, 11.3" rear disc" to me....altthough you'll notice that there is more area for the pad to make contact with on the front.

^^^ Frozen Rotors has the 01 GT and 01 GT Limited having different rotors. (20 bucks more for the L and GT) But for 02 and 03 they are the same. The confusion continues

I'm pretty sure from eyeballing my brakes with a tape measure that they're 10.7 in the front and 11.3 in the rear...and I'm non-limited, so yeah.

ya, i'll pull a wheel tomorrow to check. I've searched everywhere and can't find a definitive answer on whether or not the 2001 LTD/non-LTD models have different size brakes like that FrozenRotors site implies. Thanks for checking though fibuz

Edit: DAMNIT!!!! Powerslot's website says the same thing. What the hell is so different about 2001 LTD brakes?!?!?!?!

lol, well, tirerack has rotors for my car. I checked them against the options for the non-limited models in '01. They were different. So bottom line is: Yes they are different, No, I have no idea how other than they are more expensive

are your rotors trashed? maybe you could save some $ by just having them turned? I definately wouldn't buy drilled rotors. do you do any track days or auto-x's?

They definately feel a little warped, I'm going to look closely at them before I decide to buy anything. Pads are a must since I'm squealing really badly and my inspection is due in 5 days. No auto-x or track days, love to try sometime though. I might hold off on the rotors because I'm going to be buying new tires next week as well. The pockets will be light by the end of next week
