Salesman, Wayne Herron, was one of the best car salespersons I've ever dealt with. I got a haggle free, fair price and I got to test drive three cars without supervision (OK, I did borrow my girlfriends little sister to make it look like I was a responsible adult).
I haven't dealt with the service department yet so I can't comment on that.

that's where i got my car from also. they are great salesmen and i liked how you can just take the car out for a test drive by yourself. that convinced me to buy it from them instead of another dealership.

Okay, so I dropped by Carlsen and was also impressed with how laid back they were, but the dude I talked to (forgot his name) said that the dealership's policy was not to allow test drives unless you're picking up your own car. What did you guys do to swindle a test drive??
- the brew Addendum: Welp, ended up not bothering with a test drive, and bought from Carlsen this weekend. Dealt with Larry and Gary (heh). I'd already gotten a trade-in number from them previously (a good number, in about 15 minutes), and the time to come to a deal was 15 minutes flat! They're "no-dicker" so the price is fair but not the absolute best, but there was 0% pressure and 100% coolness. Overall, a stupendous experience! Last edited by brewdude; 09-22-2001 at 04:08 PM. |

I purchased mine from there as well, I had a Silver on pre-order but changed my mine to black, there was one on the lot that someoned decided they didn't want (they pre-ordered it, test drove 22 miles on it, then said 'nope', or that was a line and it was a beater
so they let me take it for a solo test drive. Andreas Beckmann was the Sales Manager that helped me. Very hands off, nice guy (but a salesmen is still a salesmen) ![]() |

Brought my WRX over to Carlsen for servicing - they did a good job, very friendly and professional. Robert is the assistant manager - good guy to work with. Also, the mechanic to ask for WRXs - i think his name is Kevin? Asian guy, has a yellow wrx himself with some mods, very knowledgeable and also an enthusiast. Bought my car at Stevens Creek - their attitude is not all that great. Will be going to Carlsen from now on.

Carlsen Subaru is great! Got my STi about a month ago. Did the deal over the phone. Andreas Beckman was my contact and everything else is history. I would highly recommend!
