What do you want to be when you grow up?

Everyone gets asked this question when they are a child. What was your answer? Did you fulfill that dream? Change your mind? Things not work out? Explain.

I wanted to be a fighter pilot in the Air Force. I got lazy along the way and ended up in IT.

I wanted to be a pilot. I did AFROTC in college until I was told that my eyes were too bad to be a pilot, even with surgery. So now I'm fulfilling a degree in MIS.

Oh well.

I wanted to be a vet. but i changed after my first year in college after i realize with allergies and how much i love animals, i cant see them in pain.

Yes, but well worth the work for the kick ass retirement, benefits and union protection. Plus, you need little education to do it. It's actually a relatively easy job to get and, aside from the physical aspects, a pretty easy job, too.

Sharkbait knows quite a bit about the railroad business, because both her folks worked in it.
