Dave and the guys at FAST of West Chester do great work. Although they are a new vendor on here the shop is VERY nice (never seen another shop like it). Def worth checking out.

Hello everyone!
Although, this is one of my first posts (been a long time lurker) I can't contain my excitement and decided to post since I found out Procomp Race Systems is now on NASIOC. I'm currently getting headers and exhaust installed on my 2011 STi at Procomp Race Systems and will post pictures and further review after I pick up my car tonight. ![]() Lou has done all my installs and maintenance since before he moved to the new facility and definitely recommend him to anyone because of his attention to detail and quality work. |

A year and 3 months later I finally tuned my STi on Tuesday.
Just like my last car I had Mike Botti AKA (STi Mikey) tune it and it came out great. I wanted a safe DD tune (Or as safe as a tune can be) with around 20lbs or so to keep it reliable. I don't beat on it, so Its rare that I'll even spike that high anyway. After having a pain in the ass time getting the DP on, I drove out there and Mike threw it on the Dyno at The Shop in Nowalk. Car had a little knock with high timing, so Mike pulled just a bit and it ran perfect after that, he said probably cause I ran it so long on the stock tune. But he gave the car his thumbs up and said its reliable as can be for a stage 2 car. Car put down in third 305whp/little over 320wtq at 19.5lbs This is the last pull his did with the car in 4th, then he took it on the road to beat on it to make sure he had no knock. It ran perfect. The ride home was pretty damn fun. Mods: CNT Catted DP SPT Exhaust with 3"-2.5" adapter plate. |

I just got extra-s in my Tranny and diff, Group N Tranny mount, and rear shifter bushing done on my 12 SWP WRX. Cannot say enough good things about these people. Highly recommend them. Professional and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. No hidden fees. For all these work only 1/2 hr labor..! That is how efficient they are. Try them...I will be going even for oil changes...Their prices are posted on their website...
Thank you guys..! |

Smash (PAS) Performance Auto Solutions Deer park, Long Island N.Y.
I want to start off by saying that everything that happen to me should be known to the public and shouldn't be kept a secret anymore. The shop I will be talking about today is Performance Auto Solutions (PAS). This has nothing to do with Immaturity or Drama, but to inform the public the good and bad done to my car and me. I want everyone to know so maybe they won't make the same mistakes I did. Recently I went to PAS last year for a Compression and leak down test before putting a bunch of bolt on parts. I was told by PAS that I had low compression in Cylinder one and that putting the bolt on parts would only make it worse and completely blow the motor. This would be true if there was actually a problem with my motor. Later on I find out after selling the short block to another Local shop and now the shop I use Whitey's the real truth. There was nothing wrong with the motor. He took the whole thing apart and put it back together and is currently still being used since last year with plenty of bolt on parts and a bigger Turbo then I was running on it. I blame JB the shop owner for the majority of things. Since he said I was bad mouthing them before he has no clue and now he will. Adam up front is definitely a cool guy, great to talk to and pretty knowledgeable as well as the Tuner Dave Brown. I will always give compliments and credit where it's due. Back to the motor, I was presented with a few options. I could just drop in pistons and probably be done but why stop there I said. If the motor is apart I might as well do everything else one time. The other option was to get a Rallispec block and then do everything to that block. I was told the better route would be to go with the new Rallispec block so I did. The build process seemed like it took forever but I will blame some it on me as I went with a New Turbo that had to be built, so that took a couple of weeks. I also kept changing what Intercooler I wanted to go with. I finally get the car back and I have to say everything looked and appeared great. One thing I was unhappy about was the stereo. I had a wire running from the Amp to inside the engine bay like it's suppose to, to power my interior speakers. This wire was snipped and tucked off to the side leaving me with no sound. I was told they would give it a look and try and fix it. I decided against it as they aren't a stereo shop and had no right to snip the wire to begin with. All that simply had to be done after the install was attaching the wire setup the way it was. Another thing I was upset with and never brought up was after the motor install they Tore the passenger side front axle boot and said nothing. I was now on a base map and told to break in the motor with 800 to 1,000 miles, then get a oil change before getting my final tune. I did that along with a few upgrades including a Fmic kit. Unfortunately I screwed up and threw away all the couplers and clamps. It was late at night so I had to make use of cheap worm clamps, Spectre couplers and a couple of Loews plumbing couplers, till I could get good coupler and T-bolt clamps. I then put in bigger injectors the day before the tune and was ready to go so I thought. I had a Boost leak coming from my Tial QR BOV. I was shown where the problem was and a Rubber O ring was half in and half out. I was told to get a Tial Q BOV and that my Tial QR was broken. I had Whitey at Whitey's take apart the BOV after I already bought the new one that PAS installed. Are you ready for this one? PAS took a O ring that doesn't even belong to the BOV and wedged it in where they showed me it was coming out of. Whitey cleaned up the Bov, checked the seals and put it back together and I sold it as it works perfectly fine and nothing was wrong with it. I had some boost leaks due to my fault on not getting the good couplers and T-bolt clamps. I also had a couple of vacuum leaks. One was in the inlet which was PAS's fault on not plugging it and the other not sure who's fault it is but was the Recirc plug I believe it was called. PAS fixed all those for the most part which I thank them for. I say for the most part as they did not replace all the Couplers and didn't replace all the worm clamps with T-bolt clamps. They only replaced a few T-bolt clamps and replaced the crap Loews plumbing couplers with some hideous long silicone extension hose is what I would call it. The proper thing to do there would be to cut another piece of pipe to put there. They did not make this suggestion to me I had to hear it from some one else. Instead they just slapped it together what ever way they wanted with out making any suggestions. Now all the leaks are fixed and it should be tune time I'm thinking. I told them when the leaks were fixed I wanted to be there for the tune. Instead of them doing the tune while I was there they decided the hell with that let's just do it. I then get the call late Friday evening that the car is untunable and that there is a problem with the Fuel system and they can't dig into it till Monday when they reopen. After that over the weekend I told my brother, whitey and three of my friends what was going on and said I felt like I was being Jerked around about there being a problem with the fuel system. Why would I say that, because they pretty much installed it all. They did the Fuel Pump, fuel lines, Fuel Pressure Regulator, Fuel rails and Top Feed Conversion. The only thing I did was have Whitey install the injectors the night before the tune which was done correctly. I get the call Monday from JB telling me that he is hearing from reliable sources that I'm bad mouthing them and if that's the case they don't want to work on the car and to come pick it up. I'm pretty much at a loss of words and feel like I'm being punked or something. I said exactly what I said to everyone to him and explained why I said it. I then further told him If I was bad mouthing them why would my car be there now and I be letting them work on it. He then tells me the fuel pressure regulator was dangling and they didn't install the injectors and to come pick up the car they will not be working on it weather I got to drive the car out of there or Flat bed it and then Hangs up on me. Like wow that's rather childish I feel. Further more at the end of the day I don't have to like you and you don't have to like me, but if you did the work previously or I'm paying you to do the work now either way just do the job and get it done. Then we can part ways and that's it. I would never not pay for the work to be done or not give credit for fixing a problem so what's the Problem JB and PAS? Ohh I know there is some secrets that weren't being told, that's the problem. The answer is my car has a lot done to it and is unique so they can't handle it. Why do I say this cause Cobb couldn't E-mail Dave a Tune to fit all my mods and spec's. Yea that's right the secret is out. There isn't any tuning that gets done really. The Bulk of the tune 99% gets E-mailed to PAS by Cobb and then on to your Access port which then gets flashed on to the car. Further more I find out that while they went to try and tune the car they had it up to 30 psi which to me sounds like they were abusing the car and trying to blow the motor. I know this cause it shows peak boost on my Electronic boost controller. After this I knew already of course that not only would I not ever be going back there but that I needed a new tuner as well. I had two different shops look over the car and the fuel system and of course there was nothing wrong. Both shops then suggested Turbo Mike for my new tuner. I then decided before I got my tune that I was going to do Cams, Valve spring and retainers and a few other things. I had Whitey do this and boy did he find more things PAS did wrong. The O2 bung in the brand new Gt Spec header I just bought when they did the build was Stripped and I had to buy a new O2 sensor. Head Gasket leak because the bolts weren't Tight. On the Down pipe there are suppose to be 5 bolts and they only put in 2 out of the 5 bolts, in which 1 out of those 2 bolts was Stripped. One of the Bolts that goes into the Tensioner was stripped. Another problem was the Wires on the clip that goes to my Maf sensor. When they did speed density on my car and I was originally going to use it, they used Black electrical tape to wrap around the wires to the clip for the Maf cause I wasn't going to use it. When I decided to use the Maf sensor instead and unraveled the electrical tape guess what PAS did that they shouldn't of? They cut the Wires. A nice oil leak due to them using zip ties instead of the proper clamps Well thanks to Whitey all their mistakes are wiped clean. What a good choice and decision to choose Turbo Mike, the guy does amazing work and doesn't jerk you around. He does not give conservative tunes like I have gotten from Dave/Cobb in the past. Well that about sums it all up that I can remember right now. I hope no one else has to go through what I did. |

He has tuned my car a few times now will different setups and i have been extremely happy and car has ran flawless. My last tune was 341awhp/360tq on 93octane with stock turbo. I beat the crap out of my car and ahe is still running without an issue

I would like to start by saying I had heard alot of good things about AZP and now I know why. I recently got my BRZ back and while driving home had some issues. Without calling ahead I stopped by AZP and was greeted by their staff. I explain my problem, concerns, and even just talked about my car for a bit. Not only did AZP listen, but they even helped me out, for free. I was not one of their customer yet they went out of their way to help me. The fact that they spent their time and resources to help a stranger really spoke to me about their desire to help. Most shops would have said I need an appointment or right away tried to charge he a diagnostic fee. So not only are they a shop who has quality workers, but they have real character. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone and I will be going back to them for anything I can in the future. The shop is also very clean and well taken care of which is a plus for anyone like me who has a car which they want to know will be well taken care of. Thanks again AZP.
