Default Thanks to AZP... as usual...

Had to do some work on my brakes and Alex was at the shop with me, patient as usual, until well after midnight on a weeknight. It was the only time I'd be able to do it before Limerock on Monday. Brakes feel TERRIFIC now and it will be nice to know they've been recently serviced and inspected. Nothing more frightening than not having brakes!

Thanks as always for everything these guys do, support, and offer to the Tri-State, Subaru+ community.

Default Ultimate Auto Body Went Above and Beyond

Just wanted to post quickly to say how appreciative I am of the level of customer service at Ultimate Auto Body. Bill went out of his way last night and changed his plans to accomodate me. He even waited an hour for my dumb a$% when I couldn't find his new shop in Peekskill (I still haven't figured out how to get around in this state!). So if you ever need anything to do with paint/body mods/body work go see Bill at Ultimate. I think that excellent customer service should be rewarded with business. Thanks again!

BTW...Dan...sorry to hear about your ride...SOA can suck at times.

Ahh snaps...the same thing happened to my buddy in Cali. 2nd gear shredded the teeth off of itself and threw hunks of metal into everything. SOA wouldn't replace it so he's in small claims (and has since replaced his tranny with a JDM STi 5 speed set up I think). He gets crap gas milage on the freeway because 5th gear is not all that tall but it pulls big time. Good luck and have fun at school.

Yea my front axles blew out on me and when I touched the gas it just destroyed the second gear. Subaru denied it for abuse. So I picked up a set of RA gears and exedy organic clutch. The semester is almost done, now its crunch time with finals and all. Hopefully I can see all you guys when we have the Dent Day meet at the shop in near future. I will be posting about that shortly.

Default Precision Tuning - Gotta love'm

Went on Saturday to get my reverse lockout cable fixed and my Turboxs Stealthback installed. 2 hours, no fuss no muss and we're done. Already scheduled my LOF with them for next month.

And I'm already mapping at what I want them to install for me in the spring after I get my tax refund

So far on my "I'm definately getting list..."

1. Sti JDM pinks
2. Hardened strut mounts... not sure if I need those though.
3. Removing the factory turbo psi guage and putting in a new one and an EGT guage, hopefully in one of those cluster type bezels (sp?). Still looking at various brands.

Still debating
1. swaybars
2. Perrin pulley

And I bet people jumped in here thinking I was going to bash them

I gotta admit though I'm dying to do some JDM pinks because everyone says they're the greatest thing since Evar! Even better than the fastAr SrT4

Default new clutch

just had an exedy clutch and ACT light flywheel installed in my 02 rs. very very satisfied with it. Precision Tuning did an awesome job, and Rich and Mike took care of it really well, pointing out that i had a rear main seal leak, which would go into my clutch, now if i went to a dealer, they would probably rape me with a price. just my two cents on Precision Tuning, Rich and Mike took great care of me and are very fair and great at what they do.

Default AZP Installs

Guys, just wanted to give a heads up on the guys over at AZP. Had an appointment this past weekend for a 30K service, and the service was great, on time, great work. Cant say enough about the guys, highly recommended and hope to do business again really soon.

Ok this may seem odd however... I am going to write a review of another vendor here in Tri-state. Rich and Mike at Precision worked on my Legacy Turbo today putting in my transmission for me, along with clutch, shifter linkage and what not. I was pinched for time to get it in before heading down to VIR and didn't even know the exact time I would be able to have the parts (thanks to KC for delivering the trans last night), Rich worked with me to setup a time and made sure it was done correctly. So far the replacement trans is holding up. So I'd just like to send out props to a co-vendor here in Tristate and say this is truely what the Subaru community here in Tri-state is all about. Vendors helping folks, Vendors helping other Vendors, etc. Thanks again guys, and if you need anything, feel free to ask, AZP will be more than willing to help yah out in any way possible!

Nice sportsmanship Mike...

That's the way tri-state should be... We have a small group of solid vendors & shops - no question.

Edit:
Update - SS lines and Hawk pads are on the car compliments of AZP. I had to wait a while, but they made up for it by having all 3 guys work on my car once they got to it, and everything went on very quickly.
That crappy Subie brake pedal slop is now a thing of the past. This was my 4th or 5th trip to AZP, and this is the 4th or 5th time I have good stuff to say about them, so needless to say I'll be going there again.

Edit again:
Rich & Mike at Precision installed my steering rack bushings and STi up-pipe this past Friday.
Everybody was very courteous and I have had no problems whatsoever with either install. Good job!

Default Ultimate Collision

Guys I just got my estimate from Ultimate Collision in Peekskil, NY - They are repainting both my front and rear bumpers (got into a misshap last weekend) and taking a dent out of my driver's side door - Bill did the estimate and he is one of the best public relations people I have ever dealt with period. It's costing me very little to do all this work and he even gave me a tour of the shop showing me other people's cars that he is working on and we shot the ***** for a little while - when I asked when he wanted the car he goes "how soon do you wanna bring it in?" I told him tomorrow and he said wonderful and it'd be finished by saturday - How awesome is that?????? It pays to be affiliated with subbee clubs let me tell you - All I have to say is if you live relatively close and you need some bodywork done, take it to these guys - they are the best ever - peace all - I will post pics when the car is done - Dan

Default Thanks to AZP

I just wanna thank Mike and the guys at AZP for putting in my springs and up-pipe on this rainy saturday. It was great meeting you guys, and i was very pleased with all the work you did on my car. Anyone in the area getting work done to their subaru should take their car to the guys at AZP. Thanks again.

Thumbs up Thumbs up for Precision Tuning

I know there is a vendor review section, but I'm impressed enough that I wanted to give them their own thread

Precision got me in with almost no notice, installed the UP/DP and catback (all scoobysport) in great time, and for less money than I was quoted elsewhere for just the UP installation. Courteous, knowledgable and friendly.

PS All this stuff went onto my 2005 saab 92x, incase anyone was curious about fitment issues etc. M8
