Default My vision...

So I've been pondering this for a while, and with the death of my project car I find myself in a position to do it, so I'd just like your input.

Car: 98-01 RS Coupe (preference given to 00-01 models)

Engine: EJ22T bottom end from early turbo Legacy (rebuilt and balanced of course), w/ RS SOHC heads

stock WRX or STi exhaust manifold/up-pipe (hollowed if WRX)/turbo/downpipe
stock WRX or STi TMIC/piping
STi injectors
Perhaps PerfectPower to tie it all together?

This would be just to get me started. Parts I could probably obtain from other members here for a relatively inexpensive price, that leaves me plenty of room to grow for the future.

Definitely would like to hear the thoughts of others out there that have done something like this. For me, I just want a fast turbo coupe and I've loved the RS Coupes forever.

This guy at Frantic Four has a turbo legacy with a similiar setup. Ej22t bottom end, RS heads,STi Turbo, don't know what injectors. RS transmission and a RS ECU. This car was quick and had lots of torque.

I say go for it

if you want to put alot more boost go for MY98 DOHC, otherwise, the other (SOHC) will raise your effective compression ratio. I swear there was a list somewhere that calculated all the hybrids and also using different head gasket combos... anyone?

I'm actually looking for a 2000 car, I think the LSD will be more valuable than the benefits of DOHC (this debate could get heated, so I'd rather nip it in the bud by saying, that's how I see it and that's what I want, not open to discussion ). But that's why I want a 99-01, it's more the 00-01 I'm interested in.
