odd...having trouble filling tire

The issue is with both front tires. They have no problem when I lower the pressure, but when I try to add air, no gain. The guage seems to be working properly, and the compressor is at 80 PSI. Any help?

possibly, but I thought I heared air going in the tire...i see if i can 'test' it.
