Default Odd cop story involving me.

I dont know how mahy are familiar with 38 in Tewksbury and wilmington area, but tonight after golfing I was making my way home. The light that is all alone on 38 near silver lake turned yellow when I hit the stop line, so I proceeded through it. Well I looking in rear view and the woman behind me does the same thing, but she was at least 2 car lengths behind me, so it was definitly red by then. Well the cop pulls out and begins to follow us. I put my blinker on and turn onto 129 going over the rail road tracks and the woman proceeds in continueing on 38 towards Carmart Subaru. The cop turns right with me and about 20 seconds later hits the lights. I pull over and am like what the hell. He comes up to me and says......"Son did you know that light back there was red, and you blew it?" I was kind of caught off guard, and somewhat pissed and I replied, ......."officer can i ask why you are pulling me over? If you should pull anyone over ti should have been the lady behind me who truelly went through thr red light, not me." He kind of went blank faced, said have a good day and walked back to his car and drove away.

I was like umm ok and drove away.

Then I was driving on this side road at 33 MPH and the speedlimit is 30. Well this guy standing in his driveway with wife and next door neighbors. Heard me coming and thought that i was hauling. I have a Stromung exhaust and I was at about 3000 RPM in 2nd, so it sounded like I was hauling. Well he stood on the side of the road and yelled at me to slow down. From seeing this I had time to stop, put down my window and say....."Sir, Do you mind me asking why you told me to slow down? I was doing 33 in a 30, so mind your own damn bussines please." he seemed kind of scared that I stoped, but who knows. This is also just after being pulled over, so who the hell is gonna speed right after that!?

Just thought I would share my ride home from the country club to you all.

Joe
PS- I shot 75. 4 over par, so it was cool.

LOL

Way to go! You've been a victim of the dread "Pull me over cause I look fast" law! Speaking of the ppl yelling, Kris and I were cruising around in Reading and the funniest thing happens... this old guy comee running out (yes, like the Celica commercial) and yells "Slow down!" I smiled and Kris says.. "I'm doing 20!" That was priceless..

Maybe its cause of the stop sign you generally have wedged under the car and the evil look in your eye

I had a equestrian cop yell at me at hampton beach to slow down- I was in first and doing about 20. I don't even have my exhaust on yet!

and I've also been in a low gear going through a neighborhood with some nice twisties, guy yelling at me to slow down, was going to stop, but I didn't want the cops to come because I would have to explain to my mother why they had to go there for me definately gotta know what you're doing to get any sort of speed though, trees and stuff all over

speed safely

Reminds me of a friend in Braintree MA. There is a family on his street that lets the kids play out in the street. There are always bikes and skooters & stuff in front of the house (in the road). These people get pissed when you drive down the street because they think it is their yard and will on occation run after you to your house and bitch you out for driving "too fast" on the street. (and we're not)

So my friend mentions this to a family friend who is a Brockton cop and the cop says "lets do a drive-by". So they cruise down the street and a reasonable speed, past the kids playing and
park at my frends house. Well true to form the jerk neighbor comes running over to yell at them for driving too fast. The cop (in plain clothes) whips out his badge and tells the guy to "get lost". The neighbor quickly scurries back to his hole.

Hee hee heeee!
