Default The trunk of my car is full of fireworks

How worried should I be that my car is going to explode before I get out of work today? It's 88 out there, and they've been in the trunk since 10:30 or so.

Also, if you had one of those mortar rocket sets, but lost the tube, what else can you do with the rockets, aside from just throwing them and running like hell?

My mind is at ease, now that Dr. svek has allayed my fears.

I wonder if PVC is a good mortar tube alternative. The shrapnel factor doesn't sit well with me though.

yeah, stick with steel pipe. plus if anything goes wrong, pvc lets off toxic gas (chlorine?) when burned..

you could drill a hole and empty out the mortar, then light the fuse in a crowded area and laugh maniacally

Wow, that looks exactly like my old RS after my shopping experience here http://www.northeastfireworks.com/

What I have in the trunk are the leftovers from that shopping trip, after I gave a pile to a coworker. She's giving a bunch back since she really can't use them in her neighborhood.

I think there are approximately 5000 black cats, maybe 400 bottle rockets of various sizes, one of those stupid spinning discs you're supposed to nail to a tree, and the mortar sets, minus the tubes. I have around 20 shells. Maybe a shell and a water balloon slingshot will give the desired effect.

Oh, and it's not like this stuff isn't bad enough here in NJ, but I also have two of those federally outlawed quarter-stick firecrackers. I'm sure Homeland Security is looking me up right now.

Yeah, because you have to know a guy who knows a guy.

My Dad got them years ago, and these are the only ones left. They're hardcore, waterproof fuses, wax seals on either end of the tube. They go boom really well underwater, and we're taking all this crap up to Yankee Lake in NY.

Dynamite. The best way to fish!
