Default Rim Suggestion

Hey all

I'm in the process of purchasing a set of wheels for my Quick Silver 99 Legacy GT but I'm still debating what color to get. So I figured I would ask all of you. I know I'm going with the Rota Tarmac II's but I'm torn between Steel Gray, Charcoal Gray, or Gun Metal. What color do you think will look the best?

P.S. - A CF hood is in the near future.

Thanks
Daniel

Well since your car is silver I would go for a color that isn't the same. Personally I would go for as close to black as possible.

Pollished lip maybe???

I agree with the dark as possible. Negative on the polished lip though. Our cars can't fit a wheel that's wide enough to have a substantial lip.

my prefs in order:
1. gold
2. gunmetal
3. steel gray

I hate the polished lip + "royal" setups. /me thinks rims should be one color.

yah, rims should be one color crew signing in!

Gold doesn't look half bad on the darker silver on sti's...but quick silver may be a little light. Maybe if you never washed them and they were a bit darker due to brake dust it would look good ...or maybe a bronze'ish color?

I think I'd just go with steel grey actually.

Gunmetal will look dope with the cf hood and silver car. Second choice...charcoal grey.

Hyper Black!

Here's a pic of my setup... almost exactly what you're gonna have soon (quick silver + CF Hood).

Anthricite.

I do not have pics but, I have '98 RS rims in anthricite on a silver wagon. The anthricite with it's gold flake in it looks richer, IMHO

Peace,

Greg

The closest to black, according to SubyDude, Oakos, and JLBMotorsports, is Gun Metal and thats the way I'm leaning at the moment.

Yeah I'm definitely not going to get Royal Gun Metal because I dont think the polished lip goes well.

Exactly. The Tarmac's look so sweet in Gun Metal.

Anthracite in my mind is the perfect color but Rota doesn't have an "anthracite" color available. Gun Metal is the closest I can get to anthracite. If the world was perfect and I had money I would go with the Prodrive P1 Anthracite wheels but I'm a college student so I'm SOL.

I vote gunmetal. My wheels aren't Tarmacs, but you get the picture.

i vote black, gives it the "i wonder what else its got?" factor cause it looks more sleeper like you are not trying go the bling bling route.

The hyper-black wheels look great with your CF Hood. Very good taste!
