Legacy 2.2L legacy motors Compression ratio

Are there any differences with the CR on newer EJ22's for legacys or would they still be the same as the older ones say from 1992 also do they all have dual port heads or are some of them single ported?

is there any difference between newer and older n/a EJ22's? I think ive seen impreza OBS's with single ported heads that were EJ22's.

there have been several changes in the ej22 throughout the years. i think mine is the newest. 9.7 CR, 142 hp, MAP based as opposed to MAF, also phase II.

not sure about your single ported heads question....

All the OBS's as well as Legacies with phase II Ej22's used the single port head design. IIRC, it started in '95...

Some 95+ legacys do have a dual port head. Mines a single though. Its easy to check, just look underneath the car
