WCRA Rally Car Show & Shine @ The PNE - Tomorrow (Sept 3 2005)

Thats Right!

The West Coast Rally Association will be at the PNE on Saturday displaying rally cars and promoting the Pacific Forest Rally. If anyone is going to be at the PNE tomorrow or has nothing to do, they should stop by. We will be parked by the Camaro Club, behind the Agridome/Animal Barns on "Historic Miller Drive".

Also, North American Rally Champion Patrick Richard will be on hand with one of his cars and having an autograph session in the afternoon.

Other cars that will be there.

Martin Chung's - Stage Rally Impreza L (i forget his NASIOC name)
Ken Kwong's - Stage Rally Lancer (Keno)
Joe Battrick's - Stage Rally WRX
Tony Reynold's - Stage Rally MINI cooper
Shawn Edstrom's - TSD Rally Civic (me)

and possibly another car or two that i can't remember off the top of my head.

So stop by, say Hi, get an autograph and enjoy the PNE.

Also, if you want to save on your Fair Admission. You can usually get tickets at Safeway, Shoppers Drug Mart or 7-11 and only pay 10$ for Fair Entry (its 15$ at the door i believe)

dude - you make it sound like we're parked next to the animal farm

We will be located on the "Historic Miller Drive" which is on the North side of PNE. Our display will be the prominent display stationed just outside the Hasting's Racetrack, across from the Hotwheels Racetrack and other fun stuff. Pat will be there around noon or 1pm for autograph session. He'll be around only for a couple of hours and then he gets to take PJ (Pat Junior) on the kiddy rides. If enough on us are there - we might all go and take over the bumper cars.

Wow great timing I was planning to head over there anyway since I won some admission passes in the tcb enduro kart races so I only have to pay for rides.

Hey can I slip my Hehe "rally inspired" sti into the display / Nah I'm joking, Just looking for free parking.

parking is a sucka there
when i went last week i parked on "Nootka st" which runs parralell to Renfrew, and you cant park on it until atleast "Parker" which is about 7 or 8 blocks south of hastings, but to save the 15$ for parking, i found it worth it.

b/c when the PNE is open, we cant be moving cars in and out, so we will be there an hour before the doors open to park the cars, and wont be leaving until close to a half hour after it closes.

. I went about a week ago with my nieces for their first time. It was PACKED, and 90% of the people didn't watch where they were going.

Nice to see Ken again! the display were great, too bad is that sector of PNE did not get too much attention

Beside Ken I don't know anyone there, look like I need to go out more

It's the first time PNE opened up that area of PNE. They asked some car clubs to come out and help promote the area. It will be done for another 2 more years and they will see if it is worth the marketing effort. So for the first time - it wasn't too bad. We handed out about 300 posters and tons of flyers. I think next year - it will be much more popular.

We (the rally club) will be trying to plan on doing some form of super special at the dirt bike area next year. Hopefully this will bring more rally fans down!
