Exclamation Wrx Engine Swap

alright my plands of dropping a sti engine in my rs is falling down hill so how baout a wrx engine same amount of wiring? cause i want my rs to be a sleeper but i dont want to do much work you know and i want to do it by myself to save money.... i know i can pick up a wrx engine tranny for around 2,500-4,500 on different sites with various mileage but is it too much of a hassle to do by myself like wiring wise or is it like a wrx ecu plug in and go?

Also would a wrx or newer rs front bumper fit on a 98 rs they seem cheaper then the 99-01 rs bumper and all i would do is switch my turn signals to my day time running lights and be all set?

Thank you

Everything you asked seems to be a better fit in the conversion section.

Not quite sure what youre asking about the wrx engine though, but you'll likely need the engine, wiring harness and ecu. I'm also gonna go out on a limb and say that you would probably be better off getting a shop to do the swap for you, or atleast the local Subi chapter to help out.

As for the bumper.....short answer No....headlights are totally different. But then again I have been wrong before.
