Question what price did you pay - WRX in Canada

Hi all,
Just wondering for those of you that bought a WRX in Canada, were there any deals? Or did everyone pay MSRP.
I've found our invoice price is $31,659 for the dealers, so at $34,995 that's a hefty profit. I was told by one of the local dealers that some others are charging a premium for the new WRX (over MSRP).

I'm thinking of making the jump - thanks for any info!

Most people are paying sticker MSRP price. Dealers aren't willing to deal the hot cars off that easily. You may be lucky if you go to some dealership in the boonies who have a few on the lot and know people in the styx aren't too interested. It wouldn't hurt offering 3-5% profit on top of the invoice price. The TS wagon seems to be a steal even at MSRP price, since the invoice isn't that cheap.

I payed full MSRP, like Ken said, not many dealers in the hot locations are going to deal. At least not for a couple of years I guess.

Unless they up production and they have an abundance on lot.

I had to wait a month for mine.

Should be here this week.

I'm in Ottawa and the dealers around here (back in May) refused to go below MSLP.

You might get some items thrown in, etc.

We got it below MSRP, but this was the third car we bought from them , and we had 2 other cars serviced there frequently. We gave them enough money already!!!!! I know that one dealer has trouble selling a blue sedan here in NB.

Unhappy I paid full MSRP

I paid full MSRP for one + PDI fees I couldn't get them to give me a deal. They promised to give me their cost prices for all Impreza/WRX OEM accessaries, though Hmmm... STi exhaust...

However, I drove past one of the two dealerships and they have 3 or 4 WRXes (don't know if they are auto or manual) sitting around. May be now is a better time to deal with them.

Unhappy

I paid full MRSP for my RS last year, $26,995. I got them to throw in a Brullen exhaust tho (worth $500)!! But dealers aren't gonna go too low on these type of cars, they know that if you dont buy it, someone else will, no doubt! Its not like a Civic or something where they have millions of them piling up that they sell like 20 cars a day. Too bad......gotta pay full price! Just get them to throw in some accessories...it costs them next to nothing.
