So you have full battery power, all your fuses are ok, ones under the hood and ones in the car, and when you turn on the ignition you get nothing? Can you hear the fuel pump prime?

Yep battery is full, check fuses in both places. The problem is that there is no power going to the anything except the seatbelt light and the keyhole ring. The radio, windows, heater and stuff don't get power to them either. So I can't even roll up my windows. I turn the key and the door ringer goes off but none on the dash lights or check engine, battery lights light up?? I can't seem to get power to anything...not even the headlights when the key is turned on.

are you sure the battery is actually full?
when my alternator went in my legacy, i had pretty much the same issue when i tried to start it, and that is cuz the battery was pretty much dead too. i hooked it up with jumper cables to another car and bamm, stuff started to come to life

If it's under warranty call up your Subaru care number. Strange that all the fuses check out OK and your battery is fine?

Fried ECU? The only thing I have seen similar is a blown ECU fuse, same symptoms. But in your case, if you say the fuses are OK, then I have no clue apart from a nuked ECU. Only way to find out is to go through step by step through the wiring diagram and locate the problem. Easier for you to call Subaru care as it's under warranty and you dont want to start dicking with it.

It's possible. But without having a multimeter, the car in front of me, and the Subaru docs, who knows! Could be the main relay for example. Did anything lead up to this? Any symptoms or were you working on anything?

12 volts at the battery doesn't always mean it's good. Have you tried a jump start from another running vehicle? Does the starter even make the 'click'? If you use the old school trick of crossing the battery wire with the start-lead from the ignition ot the starter itself, will that turn the engine over? (do this out of gear.)

But if there is an alternator problem the battery wouldn't have been charging during that hour of driving, just having it's juice used up. It sounds like you should try jump starting the car before anything else. When my battery kicked the bucket, it was the same type of issue... drove fine then nothing, just pushed it past the limit.

sounds like an alternator problem to me, try jumping it there's nothing to loose. Volts dont mean everything on the battery you should check the amps,

Or check the volts while trying to start it. You could be seeing good voltage with no load but if the battery is bad it may collapse under load.

The ECU only needs 10v or above to initialise. If you're turning the ignition key to ON and you are getting no diagnostic lights whatsoever, then it's ECU related. Also check your grounds.

so u have a 2005 RS? did u have any aftermarket alarm (or even factory installed "alarm"?)

it sounds like ignition switch problem to me...either ignition killed or the switch is gone by itself (rare for a new car)

who installed ur alarm if u have one?
