Default Anyone heard from subysouth?

I'm pretty sure he lives in Mississippi, and thought near Biloxi.....

I pm'd him last week, and haven't heard back....so just wanted to see if anyone has talked with him since Katrina...

Hasn't posted since 8.29 Hope he's OK. Not sure where he lives because Yoknapatawpha County (The location in his profile) is a fictional place in Mississippi from William Faulkner novels. Hopefully he just doesn't have power/internet access.

IP logs? See if they can track the IP of his last post down to a physical location...

SubySouth is a smart and I assume very much able bodied person. While Mississippi didnt get as much advance warning as New Orleans, I expect he likely evacuated the area and just doesn't have internet access at the moment. The odds are he is doing well under the circumstances. At least i *hope* he is doing well. Given the extent of Katrina impact I guess we are just going to have to wait a while.

From what I remember in some of our talks, he's got family in the southeast region of the US.....so he's probably with them....and boy, that man has a lot of other things in his life going on too (mostly "honey-do" and home improvement/upgrades) ...whew...busy man, he is!

He'll let us know when he's back up and running.

Thanks guys for the thoughts and PMs etc. I have slowly been making my way back around. I have just been beat down tired. We did ride it out in Biloxi. All the family is fine. My house came through mostly unscathed(esp compared to others.) My yard is an absolute wreck. I've been cleaning/chainsawing for about 9 days and I just about have the front yard cleared/mowed. The tree damage wont be repaired in my lifetime but its starting to look passable.

Nasioc members, it is now acceptable to resume breathing again.

While this katrina bit isnt a nice thing to have happen to you, you can at least understand that all of us have been feeling a tad edgy about your (understandable) posting absense. We are all greatly relieved to actually read a post from you, Mr. South.
