Looks just like the old one. The only real change was the lights. Otherwise its still teh same chopped front end, with the same tubular chassis under the stock cars skin.

And i hope to god i NEVER see a wing like that on the road. Its impraticle, and considering the amount of downforce it creates, it would probibly almost lift the front end of a stock body impreza. Also if you mounted it to your trunk, it would probibly crush it. That wing is mounted directly to the tubular sub chassis of the car. So all fo the downforce get loaded onto the tires. No loss of downforce in body flex.

Kinda a shame that the car is only RWD too. And yes i know Gran Turismo has it listed as 4WD, but thats wrong. Even the Skylines are RWD.

The AJGT is some damn fine racing though. I could watch FIA GT, and AJGT all day. I particularly love the GT300 cars over the GT500 cars. More diversity. With the porches, Lamborghini, FWD Celicas and AE-101's, they even have an old school Hachi Roku. They arent as fast as the GT500 cars, but then tend to drift a bit more, and have tighter races.

Opps...guess it is RWD, i was thinking about the Skylines being listed as 4WD, which they arent. That still ticks me off, even in GT3, which is official sponsered by the AJGT, they are still listed as 4WD. Weird.

The first picture he posted of teh old car is the 98-99 car, i beleive. The 2000 car had the newer smoother front end, with the smoother, larger surface area wing. The only other difference is the shape of the heat extractor vents on the hood. In teh 2000 model i beleive they where || rather then V shape they are now. But i cant find any pictures of the 2000 car since they moved the AJGT website. Maybe i can find some on Cusco's official site.

Yeah, the new body style wasn't available when the team needed to start testing. I hear they may intorduce it in Malaysia (for the allstar race) or next season. That hood is wack, imagine that in Carbon Fibre The wing looks sweet, but yeah it would tear your car up if it wasn't set up for it. I'll post more pics in a sec...

Thats what i siad Trojan. The Skylines in the game are AWD, but the ALGT cars have always been RWD. I dont think they have ever allowed AWD in the series. Maybe someone can shed some light on the history of the AJGT reguarding AWD.

That hood on the current Cusco Impreza is CF. Its just painted CF.
Last year they ran the larger surface area wing.
The vents have slightly changed this year along with the headlights. Thats about it. Im sure there is more under the skin then just that.

In GT3 there is a new Impreza AJGT car listed as a GT300 car. Which could possibly be the new Cusco car. It looks preaty sharp. Ill see if i cna scrounge some pixors of it.

I think thats a car Cusco designed for Group-N racing. Looks preaty sharp.

The WRX in GT3, has the wide body, with the customary Cusco chopped front end. The large surface area wing that has the contour fold around the rear wind screen (you cant really tell in the picture above, but it has a slightly upturned "pucker" that folows the contour of the window arch, you can see it jus tto the left hand side of the rear roof arch, im assuming ro help direct any sloppy air around the wing helping improve efficiency), and the fuel filler in the center of the trunk. It has a preaty nice look to it. And im sure that before too long Cusco will be running a new Impreza (i kinda hate the tearm "new impreza" to VWish), and we will all get to take a nice long look at what they have to offer.

I still think that when it comes to Tarmac bassed tuning parts for Subarus, no one beats Cusco.

It been a while, but I went to Mt. Fuji International Raceway back in '94-95 and stayed the weeked for the JTCC series. Is the JGTC an evolution of something completely different?

Edit: Just checked out the site, and was suprized to see the DENSO Supra still in action, that car is like ten years old.

JGTC is one step up from the JTCC. JGTC is one step below F1... hard to believe I know, but many drivers have goneto F1 from the JGTC.

As for you getting the car... you might wanna take a raincheck on that one, unless you got about $500,000 US lying around

Albert, it might be the same paint scheme... but I'm guessing they've gone through like 20 cars since it was first raced.

Aaah..you know what I ment is not the same car for ten years, but the same bodystyle with the same sponsor for such a long time. I'm sure the underpinning and aero package are all state of the art.

Didn't Eddie Ervin, and Ralf Shuemacher both run F3(F300) in Japan before hitting F1?
Word is Fuji and Moscow are trying to get a F1 date, I hope they both do.
