Default HR: Need AVC-R help!

If anyone experienced with the apexi avc-r ebc could lend me a hand with setting a target boost, it would be well appreciated! Thanks!

Hey I just installed mine, it was a piece of cake. What exactly are your problems?

Basically all you have to do is get the unit to learn your duty cycle setup, then you can modify the settings from there including target boost and start duty per gear. Start by reinitializing the unit to default, set the number of cylinders to 4, then go into “Duty Cycle” and set the target boost value to 1.0Kg/cm^2 and the duty cycle value to 55%. Now go do a few 3rd gear pulls and the system will learn the correct curve. Once it learns the duty cycle value should say "***" meaning it was set by the system.

Once this is in place you can then go in and change your settings including increasing target boost. I have my target boost set to 1.2Kg/cm^2 (17psi) and my Start Duty set to +4 in first and +2 in second. This allows first and second gear to spike so you can reach target boost in those gears. If you experience too much spike or unstable boost you can go and mess with the F/B settings too…

This is a good thread from other users about the system setup:

And of course the manual:

Good Lucks...

Well I made sure that my avc-r was set to gear learning O (not the X), set the boost to 1.0kg/cm² w/ 55% duty cycle and did a couple of 3rd gear pulls. The problem is that I can't get the duty cycle to say "***" Am I doing something wrong? Am I supposed to only allow 3rd gear to be learning or all?
