Default ej22 and 2j25 drive belts same?

reason being is that i bought an underdrive pulley with belts from a 2.5 gt that i want to install on our ej22, and i don't want to find out after the pulley is off that they don't work

Yes, but. I bought an underdrive pulley that came with the correct belts, but they still didn't fit. Too long. I needed something about 5cm shorter than what they supplied. However, another OB owner was fine with what was too long for me. It may be a difference between manual and auto, but I doubt it as the stock part is the same number. What numbers are yours?

I believe that 336 is incorrect - I had to get a 330 instead. I was sent a 336, found it WAAAAY too long (broke the tensioner bolt ONE day before a vacation :-), tried a 325, found it too short, and eventually was given a 330 by the guy who re-welded the bolt. Neat trick, btw - weld a nut to the top of the broken bolt to replace the head. The 040335 should be fine if that's the driver's side belt.

Hope this helps. And be *very* careful not to overtorque the tensioner bolts.

i'm too chicken*hit to do it myself... my local sube dealer is going to do it (believe it or not).

i bought the pulley and belts used off an ej25 gt, and it worked on that car. dealer says stock belt sizes between the ej22 and ej25 are the same, so.... here goes?
