Default 2001 2.5RS what are the widest tires on a stock body?

Going wheel shopping too and wanted to know what are the widest you can fit on the 2001 2.5 RS's stock body before you need to roll the fenders or something like that...

*edit* doh just saw the tire and wheels area i feel stupid can a admin move this?

Be careful trying to go to big...i'm running 225/40/18s on +42 wheel offset. the combination of those two make it rub. i rolled the fenders and i am running -1 degrees of camber.

long story short, 225s are probably fine if the wheel offset is around +50 which is where it should be. (+53 stock) or 215s with the offset i have

make sense?

I know Top_dog on here is running a set of 17"x8" or 8.5" on his RS with pretty wide tires and rolled fenders. I forgot the size but I think there is a thread here about it.

i have 225s on mine. on the stock 2.5rs wheel. it rubs on the strut base when cornering and when i go over bumps and stuff it rubs on the fender. BUT my 225s are taller than they should be, with a .50 ratio of sidewall to width. sooooo you should be ok if you get 225/45/16. assuming you are using 16s
