Default FT+cash for 03 wrx trans with RA gears installed

I have a 03 trans with RA gears installed.. with about 300miles on it..
installed by Andrew@ andrewtech automotive who is working with TurboXS..

I still have it on my car and I would like to trade for a stock trans with good working condition.. I prefer 04 trans with low miles..
I would like to to get a least 1800 with trade..

RA gears are 1300, so why so much even with the trade of stock tranny, definatly to high considering you can get it done and installed for less than 2000 just my opinion

Later jeff

Why the change? Trading it in?.... 300 miles seems a bit early to change your mind... Did you blow the original gear set? How much power are you running through it?

I have 321whp.

RA gears kills highway gas milage... I'm planing to build my car for track use.. with strong gears like PPG set..
Gas price here it's going up crazy.. like $5.00/gallon..
Like I said people who is seriously interest, I'll let them drive my car..
and I can do the swap at my shop..

I just bought a 05 mazda 3 for daily driver.. so I don't need to drive my gas eatter..

Exclamation No thanks...

Why such a high price?

I guess you have every right, it is supply and demand...

However just so all my fellow subaru lovers know what is out there

Here is a taste of what Gruppe-S sells:
*Basic Transmission Rebuild Package - with STI V6 RA Gearsets
-Basic transmission rebuild
-Includes V6 RA Gearsets
-1 month limited warranty
-Includes installation
-Does not include replacement for damaged or worn components (broken shifterforks, synchros, etc.)
$2450 INSTALLED OTD!! (No confusion here this is installed in the car too)

So another $150 bucks and you get new gears and a warranty...

IMHO you are charging to much for a used tranny. That being said you have every right.

Best of luck...

so... If you're sending out your trans to get RA gearset and new syncro installed.. your telling me you can get one done for $1800.00??

gruppe-s requires your core return.. otherwise it's not $2450 for RA tranny.. it's $2950

I got my stock tranny for $2000 from Subaru and I dont have to spend as much for gas. So in a way its a even trade and then its not.
My tranny will be done in 10 days (fixing other things) and it will have 0 miles on it and if you bring the price down ill drive down there to get it replaced

1800 and then 300 to take the tranny off then 600 to put gears in. I would have done this but I needed a car to get to work, and unfortunatly I dont have 2 cars =P
