Default v7 or v8 STi Splitter WRX Intercooler Shroud

Basically, I have an STi scoop on my 04 and am currently using the inadequate wrx splitter and the stock wrx intercooler. What I want to know is whether I can use the v7 or v8 splitter with my wrx shroud and intercooler and get a good seal...

Thanks in advance.

No.

Both Sti splitters are larger on the bottom for the larger IC.So no your stock shroud(bellows) will not go on there. Just modify your stock duct to take advantage of the taller scoop and add your own splitter blade in there.

Did you know that the 04/05's already have a stock scoop just as tall as the v7 Sti's?

Use the V7 splitter/bellows w/ the stock intercooler. Does the V7 splitter not come w/ a divider like the V8?

Either that, or buy an STI intercooler to fit the V8 splitter/bellows and take advantage of it all.

Just modifying your stock scoop can be a pita, but it can work. Not as well as an STI splitter/bellows IMO, but it will work.

At any rate, the stock scoop/splitter, etc. is more than adequate for your stock intercooler. If you're running the stock intercooler w/ just an STI scoop, you're just as well off leaving the splitter/bellows on there anyway until you go to a bigger I/C.
