Wow, I don't know what to think of it. I guess it's a good deed, but you never know with that guy.

Wish I had the $300+K to buy it though

If it was a superbowl ring it would be worth more.. too bad about that.

To My Fellow Americans and Fans around the Nation,

I am sure you share my horror and disbelief over the devastation along the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Never in my wildest dreams could I ever imagine the things I see on television as I watch the coverage of the destruction, the floods and the plight of the hurricane victims.

With the help of ebay Auctions, I am auctioning off my 2004 Philadelphia Eagles NFC Championship ring, in order to raise money for hurricane relief. My hope is that one of you with a generous heart and hopefully a big pocketbook will see this as an opportunity to do your part to help those that have lost everything.

I urge each one of you to place a bid, as much as you can afford for this worthwhile cause. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to hurricane relief. If you don't win this auction I ask you to consider donating the value you were willing to bid directly to the relief effort. Although you didn't win my ring, I believe you will find your generosity just as rewarding.

To my NFL teammates I urge each one of you to do what you can for the victims, be it an auction or monetary donation. Many of us are from the affected states and together we can make a difference.

Sincerely,
Terrell Owens
Have you ever heard T.O. speak? I know these four paragraphs were not formed in his brain.

Anyway, nice gesture.

I am surprised the ring is only made out of 14k gold. You would think they could be bothered to make it out of 24karet.

I don't see anywhere that he is donating his own money, just what hes getting from the ring. He is prolly too pissed off about last year to even want the damn thing anyways. Probably wasn't even his own idea.

Are you donating $300k+ of your own money?? Didn't think so. At least he is making a major effort to help so shut your mouth.

Obvisouly he doesn't care about his NFC Championship ring, the majority of NFL Players don't.

Why doesn't he just give some money for every touchdown he scores in X amount of games? I think it's a scam/PR stunt. I think it's funny when millionaires ask for money to benefit others. Why don't they just give some of THEIR money? If I made as much money as TO I would probably be able to give away half of my earnings, and still be able to live very comfortably.

Let me know how it is a scam? Is he not going to give the ring, or is he just going to take the money and not donate?

He won't take the money, but I'm sure not 100% of the money is going to help the victims. I know it says otherwise, but I'm sure there are paid middle men somewhere. Why is he asking others for $$? He has planty of money, why doesn't he just give his own. Besides, how do we know it's a real ring?

Well there is the Ebay fees
Other than that i got nothing..and his lawyers are already paid by him so they don't need a cut of the 300k. He is aksing others for money because he gave a crapload of his money/time as it is, and wants to help raise money. the easiest way to raise money for him was to auctio off his ring he doesn't want.

see some people do things just to help others, odd concept for you obviously but yeah that is what he is doing with the ring.

Oh and we know it is the real ring...who do you think had to investigate the auction

If he doesnt' give all the money and he says he will, he could be in a lot of trouble. He is asking others for money because he does not have an unlimited supply of money to give, hence he asks others. It is the real ring, you are an idiot for thinking he would auction off a fake one.
