Have a Nice Day? Drive Performance Magazine

Just got my first one of these in Three years...

Cute little mag pulished by SoA about our cars. Has suggestions for aftermarket parts, profiles of people who have modified their cars, an article about WRX's going to high performance driving schools, and even a listing of upcoming autocross events.

I find it amusing that Subaru's marketing department goes to such great lengths to help its' customers do things to their car that will immediatly call into question anything but the most minor Warranty work...

I opened my mailbox yesterday to find 3 copies of this rag. One for each new Subaru I've bought, I guess.

I remember when I got my WRX, it comes with something like a 1-year free membership of SCCA. The sales reminded me (he is a nice sales), the free membership doesn't mean I have to bring my car to race there, coz any race-related damages are not covered in the warranty.

dc,

Not that I think they should be liable for damages done while racing. But if you autocross your car, don't launch it, and are careful and your transmission blows, you shouldn't have to worry about it not being covered. Not to mention profiling heavily modified cars suggests that this is something Subaru supports and encourages, which is not the case...

My mom saw this magazine because that was my address when I got my car. Anyway, she called and said "What's with this new design? Where would you put your Hella horns?"

My mom rules!
