Default My friend wants to sell me an AP...

But he is missing the program disk and he said he unmarried it from the cars ecu. Questions:

1) What is the program disk and is the AP fine without it? You can download programs from the internet right?

2) Can you un marry an AP from the ecu?

Thanks

1. You can download the map manager software on the cobbtuning website.

2. You can unmarry the AP from the ECU but whoever you are buying it from must unmarry it from their ecu before you can use it.

If he did it properly you have yourself an AP.

you can DL pretty much any SW you need from cobb's website, don't fret about that.

Things you'll need to make sure you have:

AP unit, AP OBDII cord, Init connector (little blue iirc connector), and ac adaptor. Before you buy, plug the AP unit into the wall, it SHOULD say please select a map to flash. It should NOT have a list of menu options (the difference is unmarried/married respectively).

Why are you paranoid about a friend selling you an AP? Must not really be a friend.
